Would be dope to get Tha Eastsidaz + 213 albums on streaming (I believe they were all TVT records)
Tha Eastsidaz albums are on DSP's, bruh. 213 no, but there's a lot of FLAC rips from CD around the web.
I believe Eastsidaz is on Spotify, but not Apple Music. I have Apple.
Just download it from another DSP and add it to your Apple Music Library. Then sync it to all your dispositives.I also have Apple Music and I do this. I download albums from Qobuz in FLAC and then I convert it to ALAC, because iTunes does not accept .FLAC formats. The quality is the same.
Didn't know you could do this!
Warren trying to get his missing albums on streaming, as well as 213. TVT records went under and this is the reason why Doggy’s Angels and 213 aren’t available. I just listened through the 213 album and man was it underrated in real time. Even without Warren on the boards (aside from Groupie Luv remixes), the sounds are amazing. My favs are Appreciation, Run on Up, Find a Way, and MLK. I remember reading a rolling stone article saying they had a song called “Back in the day” which broke down their origins as friends and as a group. I think the interview said they’d done over 30 tracks for the album, but the only u released one I recall hearing a bit of was the Sesame Street one
I would need to go back and listen to it all. There was a couple of good songs (Gotta Find a Way, Anotha Summer) but I remember the album in it's entirety being average and easily forgettable. The release was way different than the expectation. I think the release of Warren G's version of Groupie Luv only heightened the let down of what could have been and I'm sure there was a remix of Anotha Summer put out, which had that smooth sound. There was talk back in the day that the decision to have Warren produce no tracks was purely political, that Snoop didn't want Warren G being paid disproportionately higher than the rest of the group and certainly plausible - all the artwork is on Snoop being the 'leader'.
