If it's like 200k views, people would say it's disappointing, doing good numbers, then it's paid for ...🤣🤣

Gotta admit I'm stunned that anybody on this board likes this song. This kinda thing is some other lame pop-rappers would do, not Dr. Dre. Hearing something like this on a current day Snoop Dogg album, sure. To even work on this song, much less put it on an album is below Dre. And then to release it as a single and appear in the video, phew. I guess they think that this is what will get the album more "mainstream" attention, but I just think it's super corny. And Jelly Roll is lame. The rap Jelly Roll was cool.

On the other hand, I thought the other semi-obvious attempt at a pop-rock crossover - "Another Part of Me" is pretty great. One of my favorites on the album, along with "Outta Da Blue" which apparently isn't well liked on here, haha.

another part of me was worse lol .. most unorganized, terribly structured dre song ever made

when outa da blue dropped i was depressed n knew the album was doomed

then the album dropped and outa da blue ended up bein one of the best songs on there

It's not unorganized or terribly structured. Sure, it's not verse, chorus, verse or whatever you want. Not everything has to be done a certain way. Not being a dick, but you make music right? Don't you get tired of doing the same thing over and over? Maybe not, idk. I know a lot of people on here would prefer all these artists make music circa 1993 and never change. And I'm not saying I like most of the decisions Dre and especially Snoop make musically. Shit, since Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, Snoop's music has been almost uniformly ass. I didn't expect to think "Another Part of Me" would be a good record. While I'm a big fan of The Police I think "Message In A Bottle" is super-overplayed and didn't think Dre could do anything original with it. I was wrong. Was it the kinda thing I wanted or expected from these guys in 2024? No. But I'd rather be pleasantly surprised by these guys doing what they want rather than trying to make old fans happy with stuff that their heart isn't into. Also, the old fans wouldn't be happy either way.

I'll do something here most people on the internet don't do and admit you got me on that one. I don't know if he "kickstarted" the pop-rap ballad, as I think LL Cool J started that in the '80s with "I Need Love" but yeah I get your point.

I also think "I Need a Doctor" is just a better record than this Snoop weed record. Quite a few artists have done odes to weed that come off way better and aren't so on the nose. The topic of the song just comes off so obvious and lame. It coulda been done better

bro i get it .. not everything has to follow a specific formula and off the cuff music is great. this just didn't sound like that.. it sounded like a contrived effort to be different, and came off to me as more of a mess than anything

like they just recorded a bunch of shit they thought sounded dope n randomly glued it together wit no rhyme or reason

but if u enjoyed it, more power to u fam
