No, I didn't snag that version. I'm kind of skeptical of it but for $45 it's kind of hard to not add to the collection.

For anyone that doesn't have the Let Me Ride single - at least on vinyl - it is awesome. I love the Radio mix and it sounds so damn good in 33 rpm (even though it is edited). Also, Dre mixes it pretty dope into "One Eight Seven" - to me is sounds like it has more bass than the normal pressings of the album. etc.

It sounds great and it is bound to be highly collectible. Heck I see copies on eBay going for a LOT and it's still online to purchase - people just looking for people to buy it who don't know.

It's hard to say if I'd buy anything else but each time I say this... something else drops. Like the 7" vinyl I posted above.. .those were too dope not to snag.

I really wish UMG would release a copy with outtakes, b-sides, etc. It would be good to have a playlist on Streaming with all the avail mixes from the singles, maxi-singles, LPs, etc. We shall see. For those that don't know UMG and Shamrock bought the rights to The Chronic for 200 million - https://variety.com/2023/music/news/dr-dre-selling-catalog-universal-shamrock-1235486661/ - so I'll never say never on something new I guess since they want to recoup their money and seemingly will do anything to make it happen.

Grave digging an old thread but I just bought that DSS vinyl. Curious to listen to it later this week to hear any differences. During the pandemic, I went through a whole phase where I was re-ripping cd's into higher quality rips and one of them was the original released version of the Chronic. Definitely has a warmer feel to it compared to the remastered versions.
