Fly so this Demo doesn't have Quik vocals, it ends with instrumental. Story is DJ Quik freestyled 2-3 songs on Rhythm-al-ism including "Melody" but did not like the verse that's why he reversed it. The 12'' single has a accapella, I believe I created a version a long time ago. I will look for it and add it to the project.

Thanks for that info.  Always wondered why Quik did that, but I figured it was just him being eclectic wanting to try something unique.  I do have a mix somewhere that someone reversed the vocals, could've been your old mix actually!  I agree, the verse did sound like a freestyle, nothing to write home about, but it was just cool to hear it after years of wondering what the verse really said back in the day.  When i rapped along with that song, i'd actually try to rap that verse backwards like Quik, good times.
