Back story to the El Remix... DJ Quik started working with El around the time of Rhythm-al-ism sessions. They planned an entire album together completing 14 songs, 12 originals and 2 remixes of El's  previous material. Due to El's legal issues with his label the album was shelved and sits in DJ Quik's vault. "Me In You" which was pressed by DJ Quik on vinyl was also part of the album.

man i would LOVE to hear that project probably the holy grail of unreleased Quik material.



i wonder if the b-side from that vinyl is also a joint from it? doesn't sound like Q but shit is funky regardless

Love hearing tidbits of information like this.  We all know about 2pac's unreleased catalog and the stories behind most of why certain songs weren't released or remained in the vaults, but it's really cool to hear stories like this for other Westcoast artists.
