Had a quick listen this morning.

I thought the first half of the tape was very very meh, and probably won't take another listen. I didn't like the basic production, and didn't like Game's rapping / flow on the tracks, felt very lazy and flat. Mixtape cover trash too, what happened to the days of badass mixtape covers that really helped to sell the product? The art these days is so forgetful vs back in the early 00's.

Just finishing up, but I certain think the last third of the tape has the strongest tracks.

It feels like the first batch of tracks is literal mixtape trash, then the last batch are cuts from the new album tha ain't make the cut.

Good to see Game back regardless, really enjoying the last tracks as I write this!

Nope I am not joking bro, I have been a Game supporter since 2003 and know his whole catalog including his mixtapes. Drillmatic was to me a very confusing project. Like he tried it with drill type beats and other styles that don't match his rapping at all. This DJ Drama mixtape though is exactly what I want from game. Bars and soulful, grimy beats. That's his best lane! Hope he continues this style for Doc III ! Not saying every track is perfect on this tape, but a lot of good tracks to me!
