In this clip, he talks about touring with Xzibit and how Xzibit played his music for Dr. Dre—an introduction that brought Jon to California for a face-to-face meeting where he rapped for Dre in person. That moment set off the chain of events that ultimately led to his life-changing deal with Aftermath.

Did he release a project i have only seen a mixtape have not heard much from him outside of the Pharmacy Radio show that Apple had for Dre and Xzibit at the time

Life changing deal with Aftermath??  He didn't do anything.  A few guest spots and a mixtape?  99% of music fans has still never heard of the guy.
