Not neccessarly, but for most cases, that could be true.  My family is not extreamly religious, and I think my parents have no problem if I suddenly decide to be agnostic or an athiest, and there was a time where my faith in God was diminishing.  I also know a couple of people who don't beleive in God but are from religious families.  Things have changed these days, its not like the older times where being an athiest was condemmed and really looked down upon.  Well, some people are still like that.
