Once it gets released on streaming, I personally think the chance of getting hard copy sales drops off a lot.

That's sort of beside my point dude. People who want hard copies can have at it. What I'm talking about is the quiet pivot of the release date for everyone else. People that planned on buying this digitally - which is probably where most of the sales will end up coming from - are probably not going to pivot to buying a CD; they're just going to be annoyed that on the day they planned on buying it, the date was quietly pushed lol. I include myself in that. I'm not buying the CD because the date was pushed. I'm just annoyed and waiting for the new date for this to drop lol.

i think he's alluding to the fact that if hard copies drop first, then more people are incentivized to cop cd or vinyl

if digital drops with the hard copies, then a lot of the potential buyers will just listen on spotify   

we did this with fatlip and rbx .. as an artist, we prioritize the importance of the experience. hard copies hit different.

I don't think they wanted to. I think the hard copy pre-order sales just weren't there.

Is it the right decision? Who knows. Maybe they push harder promotion over the next 2-3 weeks.
