Didn't he try doing something like this before - like a while back - with a bunch of 20s?

He did. He has done stuff like this before. And that is cool. Snoop tryna to give some new cats some shine. Song is nice. None of the rappers are horrible. None really stand out either. First guy reminds me a bit like Crooked I.

Problem is Snoop never follows through with any of these new acts he puts out. He features them on a mixtape or a song and you never hear any more from them. He needs to pick one or two, drop a full album with big name features, take them on the media circuit with him, special appearances, etc. Really get behind them full force.  But Snoop does not like to share that spotlight.

Ray Vaughn doesn't need a co-sign from Snoop, he's already signed to TDE and dropped one of the best albums from 2025.

Both. He will give them a little shine but when they start grabbing a little bit of Snoops spotlight, he shuts it down. Look what he did to THE MAN SOOPAFLY.

Yeah he basically pays Soopafly to stay in the background and not rap anymore. When Snoop went through his Bootsy Collins pimp stage, Soopafly showed him he was more of a pimp than Snoop ever was. So as a result, Snoop cancelled Flys Big Willie Dynamite album and put him in the background. But then the fans kept asking for Soopafly over and over and at all Snoops concerts they were chanting his name. So years later, Snoop stuck him in a group with Demani and some other total loser that ended up being the lucciest thing that ever happened in that guys career. Snoop thought that would stop people from cheering for Soopafly. Instead it made Fly even more popular. So now Snoop pays him huge amounts of money not to rap and to make beats for him.
