First 30-35 minutes all about Dre/Aftermath... then from there it's about his career path after having left Aftermath. Some cool insights and shares from those days.

One that stands out is that Dre basically hadn't given him any writing credits until Elizondo made himself less available ("I can't be there Tuesday and Thursday, this week" kind of thing) - and then Dre offered him writing credits.

He's appreciative of that time, all the work they did together, the artists he worked with, and the doors that experience opened. No bad blood at all.

Last 5 mins he discusses current projects - none of which hip hop or Dre and them related.

Like Yella and Colin Wolfe.

Im about halfway through and its a really good interview.  As time goes on I'm starting to realize that I failed to notice how good we had it back then with music.  It was a special time in music

i supposed no coincidence that when storch started snorting 100mm dollars away and elizondo went his way, and batson, d. parker moved on, the music suffered.

the focus, dem jointz era is pure shit. why hasn't he turned over the in-house producers like he always has when the music wasn't hitting?

Sounds like Dr. Dre is the definition of a producer based upon his comments.  Can't believe there a people still claiming that Dre didn't produce.  it was cool to hear him explain how detailed Dre was and how great his ear was.
