Well fuckkkkkk...:Stat known as a harsh ass critic, and he saying Dre played him 40 seconds each L of 14 tracks that was the best shit he'd ever heard from Dre?!?!   

I fucking love and hate hearing shit like this.  Hopeful and maddening at the same time

So a little later on he said that he basically doesn't come on the show and talk about his people without their consent. So Dre ok'd Stat saying what he did. Interesting cause Dre usually scary when it comes to talking about his work.

Couple other things interesting :

-stat said that thinking that was dre's best shit ever is meaningful because he hasn't been afraid to tell dre when something was bad
-said mixing was incredible, as usual... can hear each thing in each song standalone..not surprising.. but i hopefully dre found a signature sound this go around IF we ever hear this shit
-him and justin hunte (other guy on this pod, for those that dont know) going back to dre's house next week/this week? not sure, but justin (former hiphopdx, solo journo currently - great voice in the genre, and for LA) is tagging along next time.
-seems like a soft rollout of some kind to me inviting a journalist to hear whatever he's got
