there is one song of Whoz Who (let me know) which has same instrumental with Forget about dre (slowed down version)

also there is one song of Kim (pick up ft. eve) which has same instrumental with Phone tap.

..but I am very confused, because the "Forgot About Dre" beat doesn't fit in the 96 timeline for two reasons:

1.  Isn't there a couple interviews where Dre describes that that was one of the few instances where he actually made the beat after the lyrics were written?  Like that he constructed the beat from scratch to fit the lyrics?  I could have sworn I read that in more than one place.

2.  There's an earlier version of "Forgot About Dre" that leaked months in advance of the album.  In fact, "Forgot About Dre" was one of the first leaks that we got from that album.  It came out in that same batch with the Hittman version of "What's the Difference".  And the beat for "Forgot About Dre" was actually more simplistic and sounded more like a demo/leaked version would be expected to sound.  So if Dre already had that beat fully produced from 96' it would make sense that even the earliest version of "Forgot About Dre" would've had that more fully produced version of the beat

i remember the demo but i think the beat was the same, just not as mixed iirc

never heard the story of lyrics being written first .. but u can match written lyrics to pretty much any beat

It is impossible dre made the beat after Eminem wrote lyrics.

Because drum programming of the beat was made by Bud'da. (He is not credited unfortunately, just like Glove was not credited for xplosive and it was a beat for king t) So that means this beat was made in 96-97 probably when bud'da was still on aftermath.

I never heard the leaked version of forget about dre by the way.

no that ain't it... if I was more schooled on what instrument is making which sound I could easily, but it's kind of like that extremely high tempo high hat sound that was added later. 

However, you are definitely on the right path when you are mentioning hiphopsite.com and SnoopsDogghouse.   I used to have the best bootleg tape ever that I recorded from putting one of those microphones you plug into those popular 1990's era CD and two deck cassete players and one of the cassette decks had the record and so you press record on a blank tape, play that little real audio clip from SnoopsDogghouse, Dreday, hip-hopsite, even Eminem leaked stuff from his official site that was through another site like hip-hopsite, and I'd end up with my own mixtape of rare tracks, some never released, some released in a different version, or some months in advance...
