30 YEARS LATER, HAS HIP-HOP BEEN GETTING 2PAC'S FINAL ALBUM TITLE WRONG?2Pac planned to release his 1996 album under his new artist name, Makaveli the Don, with the album titled 'Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory'I'm sharing several slides of 2Pac's handwritten tracklists, each identifying 'Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory' as the album title, NOT 'The Don Killuminati'. It appears Death Row's design team took "The Don" from his artist name and added it to the album title.Tragically, 2Pac never lived to see the final cover printed.MAKAVELI RECORDS & DEATH ROWThe tracklist also lists Makaveli Records in partnership with Death Row Records, suggesting 2Pac intended to launch his own label while utilizing Death Row for distribution. This could have marked a significant new chapter in his career.THE THREE-DAY RECORDING MYTHThe project reportedly began as Killuminati: In 3 Dayz, later becoming Killuminati: The 3 Day Theory before the final seven-day title.Contrary to the popular legend that 2Pac recorded the entire album in three days, the sessions spanned several dates. Most recordings took place July 8, 9, 10, and 12, 1996. "Hold Ya Head" and "Krazy" followed on July 18, while "Just Like Daddy" was recorded August 12. "Black Jesus" and "Ain't Nothing Wrong" were also recorded that day but didn't make the final tracklist.Other songs recorded during this period included "Street Fame," "Pac's Life," "Watch Ya Mouth," "Lost Souls," "The Good Die Young," and "Don't Sleep."WHY 7 DAYS?The original three-day concept may have referenced Jesus rising on the third day. The seven-day title could have drawn inspiration from the biblical creation story: six days of creation followed by a day of rest. Seven also carries spiritual significance in Hindu traditions, including sapta janma, the concept of successive births or lifetimes. These are possible interpretations, not confirmed explanations of 2Pac's intentions.Despite new anniversary releases, the 2Pac estate has failed to fix the title.
Welcome to 1996. This has all been well known for decades. I guess you saw this in regards to the 30th anniversary Makaveli LP dropping and felt like it was news.
bro u know others can see that u heavy on my nuts too, right?i've literally had people come to me and say "yo why is that soopafly dude always on your nuts sccit?" it's starting to give cable guy vibes tbh relax
You're the one who responds or comments on every single post I make, regardless if you are mentioned or not...case in point, the Coolio post I just made. Don't show your nutz. Stop interacting with my posts and there won't be any issues. I don't mind the dialog, I enjoy the discourse, but clearly it's starting to get to you, so simply move on if it's bothering you.
Sccit once told me I wasn't family to Chino XL, and moved his thread from the West Coast section back to the East, despite the artist himself saying he is considered a WEST COAST artist on wax and living in California most his life. He was entirely wrong about both things, but he's since been forgiven Keep busting his balls Soopa LOL.
your opening line in that coolio thread was a mention of me it's ok, i don't mind groupies, i just think it's strange behavior but keep doin ya thang brodie
Oh good, because you sure seemed upset in your prior post so i'm glad you took some midol to help get yourself over it.
i have 3 children i have to put up with all day if you think u have the ability to "upset" me, then you're sadly mistaking u see, "busting balls" only works when the other person doesn't recognize your MO and it catches them off guard .. once it becomes obvious to said person, that "busting balls" just comes off as riding nuts
You are a busy man, i'm actually shocked you're on here as much as you are, with 3 kids, working on your album, getting your label off the ground, seems like you're on the dub all day long. Anytime I post anything, I think to myself Sccit will repsond within 10 minutes, and sure enough you do.
hey look, it's been 8 hours between your reply and my response .. i guess im getting better on a real note, its much easier posting when all u need is a phone and everyone has their phone glued to their hand 24/7for instance, im on the way to pick up my daughter from school and posting while driving on my down time the fact that u keep tryna "bust balls" after what i said is very telling tho .. keep going champ
What is your obsession with nuts and balls? Seems like you're consistently bringing them up with every reply like it's always on your mind. Proud of you for your time management skills. You'd think you'd be perfecting your album in what little free time you have, so I do appreciate you continuing to devote some of your time each day to me and taking that time away from working on your album.
album been done for a while nowand i didn't even mention "nuts" in that post you tryin too hard, as usual
Album's been done for a while? Slavish shelvin it, huh?
