That's another thing, if you were rolling with Death Row, you were rolling with the family. It's like you were rolling with Gotti or Scarface or the Untouchables. There was no confusion. When Tupac teamed up with Suge@ he knew what he was doing. He was aligning himself with the biggest, baddest brotha out there and he really felt the power. Of course, to obtain power, you're always compromising something and Pac compromised a lot. Some people even think he gave his life....Although there have been a lot reports about the definition of 662 ' the ,name of Suge's club in Vegas, which spells MOB on a phone keypad and is linked with Bloods terminology, Tupac had his own definition for MOB: Money Over Bitches.Anyone who hung out at the club, knew the two went hand in hand. The girls wanted to get into 662 because they wanted to meet the playas with cash. No matter what, something always jumped off at 662. The night Tyson fought Frank Bruno, a huge fight broke out at 662, Suge's club on the Strip. Tupac was right in the middle of it. It usually didn't have any- thing to do with him; half the time, he just had to get in the mix. On this particular night, every member of security was there. The dude who was in the middle of it was a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. He got his ass whooped. Half of the Death Row posse whooped his ass.I've got Tupac up against a wall. He's jumpin' off the wall, bouncing all up and down in the air, but I have him and he can't get away. He keeps trying to push with one leg, but he was in my arms. Then, our security stepped in and grabbed the guy who was getting the beating, took him to the front door and outside the club. The fuckin' Las Vegas Metro Police whooped this dude's ass again. After everybody cooled down, I told Pac if he wanted to be mad at me, that was just fine, because I'm not gonna let him get in the middle of this stupid shit. "If you don't want me as your bodyguard, that's fine' too," I told him. "But my job is to, protect you and keep you out of. trouble. He said, "Yeah, I know, Frank. I know.,,"I'm not gonna let you get in shit, just to get in shit." "But that was my homeboy, Danny Boy," Pac said."You know what, whatever was going on, it's handled."Tupac was trying to get into the tail end of the fight, anyway. But everybody got their punches in. Reggie was throwing punches, Danny Boy was wailing on the dude.I'll never forget what Tupac did next. We were in the elevator of the Luxor, heading back up to our rooms, and Tupac was talking to Suge. He said, "Yo Suge, we, need to rectify this situation with 01' boy. It wasn't right how that went down."I thought to myself, You gotta be fuckin' kidding. Tupac is saying this? I must be hearing shit.So Suge took it to heart, and they quashed it.It's going to be difficult for a lot of people to understand this point, but I liked Suge Knight, and as you continue to read this book, you'll learn even after 0 I've been through with Death Row, I still do. I know people who have done a lot worse things than Suge Knight's ever done, and far less good. I know people who have destroyed entire neighborhoods, and Suge wasn't on that level.
"How Do You Want It" heraus, auf ihr ist der Track "Hit em up", eine klare Kriegserklärung an Biggie, Junior Mafia und BadBoy."I love my east coast fans. I'm eating New York Pizza, I drive New York jeeps but I'm saying let's keep it real for a second. Study how "Party And Bullshit" was me before I met Biggie. You don't hear my style in his raps. Study how after I met Biggie, "Ready To Die" comes out and his whole style changes study. Study why I would be mad when half of the major New York rappers or their managers, or their agents, or their somebody was there when I got shot and nobody couldn't give me no information. Study how when Wu-Tang got their chain snatched at six-six-duece, I not only found who did it, but gave them the message that if they wanted to see the niggas that did it, they could see them."
It was just another day at the Death Row offices. There were so many incidents, I don't know how anyone can keep track of the pending lawsuits that resulted from a lot of them. Producers disappeared from the studio all the time, Sam Sneed, Johnny J, DJ Quik. Sam Sneed's supposedly in hiding-apparently Pac beat up Sneed in Suge's office once. He was one of the producers, who was there one day and gone the next. Pac punked him in Suge's office, behind the heavy deadbolted door.I remember one time in New Orleans, we were in Suge's hotel suites when he asked us to step outside the door, because he needed to handle a situation internally.Unfortunately, the drama was usually caused by somebody saying the wrong thing, and that was all it took.
