Roddy Piper Fired
« on: June 30, 2003, 05:49:11 PM »
Because of Piper's comments on HBO's Real Sports, the WWE has decided not to try and extend Piper's contract.

Brother Love (Bruce Pritchard) will be returning to replace Roddy Piper in the 'Piper's Pit' segments for the upcoming summer house shows. It is not clear whether the character will return to WWE programming.

Piper said that he used to use drugs. And that he hates himself when he wrestles now. So the WWE parted ways with him and said they hope he finds happiness.

Smackdown needs more talent now. I notice a decline in it there. I like Smackdown more, I know Kurt Angle is still on there, and John Cena so right now I could still watch it every week, and the cruiserweights are hella tight. But the lose of Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper kind of makes that old school feeling leave. I hope that Piper find happiness though, I really do. I'll pray for him, since he is a San Bernardino native.
