Cheney receives clean bill of health

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Vice President Dick Cheney received a clean bill of health Tuesday during a routine checkup, according to his spokeswoman.

"The vice president was told by his doctors that all the news was very good," said spokeswoman Jennifer Millerwise.

"The ICD did not detect or treat any sign of arrhythmia," she said, referring to an implantable cardioverter defibrillator Cheney has inside his chest that monitors problems that could lead to a heart attack.

Millerwise said the vice president was at George Washington University Medical Center for a couple of hours Tuesday undergoing a series of tests, including an electrocardiogram, an echocardiogram and a stress test.

The spokeswoman said Cheney is "back at work" and will be attending meetings Tuesday afternoon on Capitol Hill before returning to the White House.

Cheney has had four heart attacks and undergoes frequent monitoring by his physicians. He had a pacemaker installed more than two years ago.

On a side note, I like how they put "Back at work" in quotation marks, acknowledging that he doesn't really do anything, LOL.  "back at work" LOL that probably consists of Al Gore's old routine, wake up, watch some redsox games on t.v., put the suit on, go teach kids how to use crayons at the local elementary school, stop and get Bill some chinese food on the way back, drop Hillary's boxers off at the dry cleaners, etc.

Seriously Cheney would never run, not in a million years.  If Bush gets a second term it is far more likely that his brother would run.
