I DIDNT FEEL LORD OF THE RINGS AT ALL!

The dialogue was long and boring and the film was far to long considering all they where doing was chasing a ring.

The film really bored the hell outter.  The CGI's where not the slightest bit scary or worrying and basically I watched the film thinking to myself this is just a 2002 version of WILLOW exept for the fact that they are chasing a ring and not a baby, and I actualy thought willow was much better.

The story really bored me to death, granted the 2nd film looks much better with the war scenes and shit but I dont see how anybody can even consider this triliogy to be a classic when basically the first film was weak.

Man, I'm big into these damn movies, I see every movie that comes out (literally, I even saw legally blonde 2).

I stayed up the whole night before lord of the rings came out, for reasons we won't get into here  

And then thought "oh, hell I'll go watch it, I wont' fall asleep"... because I NEVER fall asleep in movies, it's my favorite pastime to watch movies, even BAD movies I like to watch.

Anyways, I went, about an hour in, I was asleep as hell, and I was sitting in the friekin' front row in a full theatre.  I woke up about an hour later, LOL.

Movie was ALRIGHT, I'd give it maybe 7.5 outta 10.  HELLLLA slow spots.  I saw the second one, though, and it was much better.  I don't think the whole series is anything classic or anything, just decent.  There's no way it's on the level of Star Wars, and It's not on the level of Indiana Jones, either.  It's not even on the level of the first 3 Star Treks if you ask me.

I hated the 1st movie. that fantasy stuff with trolls n shir (lol) donmt really interest me.. I prolly wont even buy the 2nd one.

Has anyone seen the extended version of the first film (longer by half an hour), i personally think it makes the film a lot better, but most peeps sound like they definatly wouldn't be able to watch all of it. I thought both films have been great so far and am hyped about the The Return of The King.
