Serial Killer World Record Holder - Dr Death
« on: July 20, 2003, 11:50:36 AM »

Dr Harold Shipman

His patients – mainly elderly women – were living alone and vulnerable. They adored their doctor, Harold “Fred” Shipman.
Even when their contemporaries began dying in unusually high numbers, patients remained loyal to the murderous M.D.
For as long as he spared them, his victims loved their doctor – to death.

No film director could plan a grislier scene.

In the dead of a black August night, relentless rains and driving winds formed the perfect backdrop for an exhumation.

But this was no psychological thriller – the Manchester police were observing a real-life drama.  Experts were raising the mud-streaked coffin of wealthy Kathleen Grundy.

Interned just 5 weeks earlier in the Hyde cemetery, the 81-year-old ex-mayoress held, in death, the key to solving nearly 400 murders. This would give killer Dr Harold Shipman the dubious distinction of being the greatest serial murderer the world has ever known.

It puts him well ahead of modern history’s most prolific serial killer to date – Pedro (“monster of the Andes”) Lopez. Convicted of 57 murders in 1980, Lopez allegedly killed 300 young girls in Columbia.

55-year-old Shipman is already serving 15 consecutive life sentences in Frankland Prison, County Durham, plus four years for forging the will of his last victim, Kathleen Grundy.

In spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, he continues to maintain his innocence.

How could this prolific serial killer go undetected for so long?  And what made him the monster he became? The answers lie in a story that began in earnest over fifty years ago – in a government-owned red brick terrace house in the north of England.

america has more murders tho

although in my 1st 3 months of uni there were 3 different murders in the same town i live in

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

No, that's all cold hard fact, this was a joke, though, let me explain it to you (Maybe you didn't get out much as a child, and you never developed a sense of humour? I dunno).

*Enters ever-famous Trauma Patronizing mode

O.K.

1st, see, there was a lot of anti-americanism.  So, i thought it would be fun to post some threads, showing positive things the U.S. leads the world in.  In MY MIND, it wasn't meant to demean other countries; just to show that while yall bitch and complain about america, and call americans stupid, we still, whether you like it or not, lead the world in MOST THINGS.  Our Crime Rate might be higher than most countries, but so is our College Education enrollment rate.  Etc., Etc.  Not meant as a joke, just a comment on the pessimism; how people only see the bad things.

On the posts, Jay Ay Bee reacted to nearly every one of them, trying to cast the positives of america in a bad light, and accentuate the negatives.

Now, here comes the humour, pay attention...

On ANOTHER BOARD, In the G spot, Jome had made a post about serial killers; we were all talking about serial killers on there, and he was just mentioning that there was this one REALLY CRAZY guy that lived in Manchester and killed 400 people.  Ironically, he had titled his post "Serial Killer World Record Holder" when I had just been talking about World Record Holders on the other board.  Follow me?

So, I thought, in good sport, because I don't hate Jay, I just think he doesn't know what he's talking about a lot of the time; I thought, hey, I'll pick at him, and jab him with his own words, as another dig at his home country.  So, I posted what I did, "Wow, you're saying england leads the world in serial killers? Man, glad I'm in america".  It was funny because I had just been talking about how great america was, and this was yet more reason for me to talk about it.  It's a character.  I play with all of yall's young minds all the time and you don't even recognize it.  It's sport.  Most of the shit I say I don't even mean, I'm just doing it to get a reaction.  Eventually, someone will notice what I'm doing and get in on the joke, like Jay did on this thread.

*Patronizing mode off, for now

Wow.
That's a extremely well thoughtout joke.. only a mastermind could have conducted such a vicious and genius joke to fool all of our "young minds".
