In this week's (7/21-7/25) SOHH.com Pulse Report, the streets are talking about Nas "The Arsonist", Rap Rumors, Summer Bangers and The Source Awards Return.

1. Nas "The Arsonist" on The New XXL Magazine
Nas enjoys making a statement and this time his words are like flaming darts. The QB battle rapper is sending his message this month courtesy of XXL Magazine, where he is featured on the cover burning both XXL AND The Source magazine among other major pubs. His message? That none of the magazines out today represent hip hop properly. Inside the issue, Nas refuses to discuss Jay-Z, but talks about his relationship with Kelis among other things. The issue also features interviews with Ghostface in which he airs his true feelings about rap. The new XXL is hitting newsstands nationwide this weekend.

2. Rumors: Meth Leaves Wu-Tang? dead prez to sign with The Roc? Lloyd Banks leaves G-Unit?
It seems that since Rakim bounced from Aftermath last week, rap fans have been in a tizzy spreading rumors of the next artist to make a power move. Word on the street is that controversial rap duo, dead prez, is going to The Roc. Picture the "let's get free" emcees doing a 360 to push Armadale and ice. And Lloyd Banks is rumored to be leaving G-Unit after a fight broke out between him and 50 in Cleveland. But the rumor of all rumors swirling around the net this week is of Meth leaving Wu-Tang. Message boards are buzzing about how The Wu allegedly had a meeting last week that ended in a huge fight with Method Man severing his ties from the group. The outrageous tale continues, saying both Meth and the Wu have released dis songs to radio (which no person can verify they've heard for themselves). "Whether this is true or not who cares?" says one SOHH.com member. "The Wu haven't been together creatively in a few years now."

3. Hot Singles Holding Us Down Summer 2003:
The summer of 2003 is shaping up to be sizzling weather-wise, but it's almost over and there's still not one defining summer single. Well in lieu of that one song that makes every summer memorable, hip-hop fans seem to have come up with a collection of standout singles to party the lazy days away. The official club banger is shaping up to be Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz' "Get Low" featuring that infectious holler... "To the windoooooow... to the wall!" Whether you've got spinning rims on your ride or not, Three Six Mafia's "Ride Spinners" has you doing the "short-stop." The girls are diggin' Chingy's "Right Thurr" -- the official anthem of the "chickhead dance." And stickup kids are thuggin' to M.O.P.'s grimy new joint, "Put 'Em In the Air," featuring Jay-Z who reminds fans of his gritty origins, promising to leave offenders "in the basement of hell with DJ Satan."

4 The Source Awards Returning This Year:
The Source Awards are returning this year in October and the bets are on the table over which rap fight will break out first. Noticeably absent from all The 2003 Source Awards promo info is any mention of a television broadcast partner - indicating that advertisers and networks aren't touching this show with a 10ft pole. The last Source Awards was a spectacle of melee that was abruptly shut down, giving middle America another reason to hate hip-hop. With Bill O'Reilly lurking around for a clear shot to take along with numerous very active rap beefs in motion, is 2003 the best year for The Source to try to gather rappers together in one room?

That's a hot ass track..  8)

I think the Meth leaves Wu story is just a rumour to create a buzz about Meth's new CD.. 2 sites had "Meth leaves the Wu"-stories up yesterday.. today they're gone.
The story claimed that Hot97 aired a Meth-track dissing the 7 members of Wu, and that RZA responded by making a beat and getting all the 7 members to diss Meth... sounds like BS to me.
