It was a trade because Boone didn't want to be a Red anymore after they fired his dad as manager, and the Yankees gave up their top pitching prospect.

fucken yankees...George should just buy...The Tigers, The Marlins, Angels, Dodgers, etc......and use all these teams as a farm system

yes boone wanted to go an a lot of other teams wanted him. but the yankees always end up with him. an big deal they gave up there best prospect. is he proving yet, no. an the yankees paid 3 million for him. they bought him. an even tho the trade deadline has passed george aint done

Most baseball experts have said that no team lost in the deals today. Boone wasn't going to be traded until he said that he wanted out. He alsmost went to Seattle, but something went wrng in that deal.
