actually i have heard that album and hey use to own it......but tell me WHY  should they be on the list and not people like Del ?

because while imo del is one of the greats...he hasnt had that big of an impact on hip hop...hes underground and probably always will be...8ball & MJG (like javier said) had a big impact on the south.

ball and jg were a huge influence on other rappers in the south. theres absolutely no denying that. not to mention they have never put out a weak album. how about i start whining that above the law and every other rapper isn't up there? it won't change a thing.

List looks good. Can't complain much about it - only thing is Cypress Hill deserves to be on it for being the first Latin rappers to go platinum. I would definitely put them ahead of certain artists on the list - such as Benzino... LOL @ him being on there. ::)

This is for the
cats who hustle all day and night
in the streets doing what's wrong or what's right
you see ya babies when you can
don't ya know ya lil babies need to see you man
if you don't teach them
then they gonna learn the wrong way
so sit down and listen what they got to say.
And you boys in the club every weekend
straight ballin' but you can't take care of ya kids.
When they grow it's to late to try to make it up
you never know when god plan on taking us.
So much evil in the world and it's all new
to a child who ain't been through what you been through
a kid can't play in the streets without dodging bullets
and nine times outta ten
a kid probably pulled it
cause they momma
and daddy weren't there for ‘em
so it's important that we let ‘em know we care for ‘em,- from the song- "Daddy"

I never played the games, fucked hoes and tricks
Niggaz think with they dick and get hit for licks
We mob for life, straight scarred for life
"Space Age 4 Eva" nigga fuck the hype
Hard rounds I bust, crush punks to dust
Weak studio gangsta, you can't fuck with us
We live the streets, give streets the piece
Defeat weak emcees and bust heat to eat
My love for change, got me stuck in the game
Got me goin insane, who the fuck can I blame?
No you but me, not him but I
Is the one to blame for anything I try
Love life and give, but a trick ain't me
Give bitches the dick and give niggaz the heat
Bust flows that kill, homocide for real
Gold grill and trills, you weak niggaz know the deal- from "Spit"

honestly....do these verses suck?

ok im gonna be the first & only person to say this...cypress hill aint shit! they are a bunch of faggots who rap about nothing but smoking weed...i know im gonna get dissed hella for saying all this but seriously...i dont give a fuck if they were the first latino pigmy homosexuals to go platinum...they suck! B Real has a lot of talent with his voice and his flow...but all he ever does is talk about weed...honestly...cypress hill has done absolutely nothing for hip hop.

yeah in a way you got a point there, yeah all they do is talk about weed  but mugg's style is very instrumental in the way the westcoast sound came to stand out with those thick bass lines.

those verses are dope as hell...i would much rather hear that than hear some shit like "i smoke weed and i roll up blunts, i found a maple leaf and i smoked it once" (i know those arent real lyrics lol)
