how the fuck did Master P get in there before AZ & Canibus
p's influence was much higher than both of them. no limit started out as an independent/black owned label and then it blew up. after people saw that alot of cats started going independent. not to mention p's old shit out of the bay up to ghetto d is alot better than most rappers. his catalog back then was sick.

Someone like Da Brat above the likes of Run-DMC too... Obviously everybody could re-arrange those names how they think it should be, but I think everybody agrees that a lot of things are fucked up about that list. But it's The Source - Hip-hop magazine turned pile of crap. Oh well.

And I can't believe they're still putting Benzino in these lists. It ain't buying him any credibility, just the opposite.

LMAO heres the explanation for benzino...they put little explanations next to each one...

"The Almighty RSO member helped set off the East Coast gangsta-rap scene in '91 with "One In The Chamba." He then released music with the Made Men before going solo in 1991. As Cofounder of The Source, Benzino's name rings bells in any hip hop cirlce"

 ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

first off...almighty...hahahahahahaha...second...he didnt go solo in 1991...or atleast he didnt release a solo album back then...he released The Benzino Project back around 2000 or so as far as i know...the only reason benzino's name rings bells in "any hip hop circle" is because they all talk about how bad eminem clowned his bitch ass...i will be the first to say this...i like a lot of benzinos music..the benzino project i thought was a great album (or atleast some of the songs)....but benzino is a bitch!

while i wouldn'tve crossed off akinyele...after him putting out "put it in my mouth" or whatever...he should've dropped down to about 100....that song was sooooooooo damn annoying...im still tryin to figure out why he crossed off 8ball & mjg, cam'ron, craig mack, and shyne....while none of them may be the greats of hip hop like rakim etc...they've all been damn good contributions...i definetely wouldn'tve crossed them off.

For those who can't read I'll repeat it again.

The rankings he posted is FAKE.  In the magazine it's just a list of the artists, there are no numbers beside them.  They created a list not a ranking.
