MURS
« on: August 09, 2003, 04:48:16 PM »
I never hear people talk about him here. Hes the best L.A. underground artist imo. The dude droped an album this year called "The End Of The Beginning" which was dope as fuck. He's also apart of the Living legneds group. If you don't have "The End of the Beginning" pick that shit up, i guarantee you won't be dissapionted.

Well I won't say they have beef but Murs ain't on coo terms with him right now. They were outside of a club, and afterwards Xzibit was with Tha Liks (this was when they were still coo) but he was drunk as fuck. Now Xzibit knows Murs and his brother, and they were coo. But I guess X was drunk to where he didn't realize what he was sayin, or either he was just ventin for some reason. He told Murs a grip of dumb shit like "you're wack, you ain't real hip hop, you suck" etc etc. and Tha Liks and I think Ras Kass were tellin him to shut the fucc up, and they kept tellin Murs "he's drunk man don't listen to him" so even if he was drunk, I think he still took that 2 heart jus because he was a fan, they are both from L.A. and they were coo. So I wouldnt' really call it beef because X prolly doesn't even remember sayin it, and plus Murs never dissed him on wax because he said it's already enough beef in tha industry and he wasn't tryin to add to it.

damn, im hearing so much wack shit about xzibit, i dont even like him as a person, let alone an artist.
i think kill kill or clim punked his ass
and then xzibit is confronted by suge, and doesnt even stand up for snoop, and says they only make music together.
and then the liks ditch his ass for being such a fake wannabe crip
and then now this shit with murs. murs shoulda beat his ass  right quick,

I like Murs a lot. I've got the Murs & Slug Ep called "Seraching For Christini Ricci" or something like that and it's tight. I'm going to check for some of his other stuff as well. Someone should post a bio and discography of Murs cause a lot of people (including myself) don't know much about him.

Also I met Xzibit (and Krondon) when X came to Australia earlier this year and he was a real cool guy. Alcohol and drugs can do really messed up thing to people yo. I've seen the devil come out in people when they are high or drunk, so I don't think X should be help too accountable for what he said when he was wasted. Props to Murs for not escalting the beef though.

I kno that Murs was a big Wu-Tang fan back in like 94 when they were first blowin up. I used to always spend the nite at his house, but me and his brother were closer than me and him because he was always older than me so I was like his "baby" cousin. He used to DJ back in tha day too. He grew up in Mid City L.A., but he never gangbanged even tho his lil brother did. I donno when he started rappin, but I didn't really start hearin him rap til 96.

In L.A., it's kinda funny that more hispanics, whites, and asians probably kno who he is than the blacks do. The blacks here are more into gangsta and commercial rap, so he still isn't really known around L.A. like he should be. I don't think he really trips about that though, because all he has to do is a mixtape or somethin over west coast beats, and people out here would be on him, but he sticks with underground because thas what he is feelin tha most. One thing that most of y'all wouldn't ever think is that one of his favorite rappers and albums is snoop/doggystyle.

thanks for the info, that was really interesting. Murs really has a lot of talant and I hope he achieves the level of success he deserves. If you still speak to him you can tell him that although cats in LA are sleeping on him that there are plenty of dudes digging his music down here in Australia where I live.

peace
