hmm not sure i agree with him on this...where exactly was pac in the og day of g-funk ;) (anyone?) and as far as death row inventing g-funk...i think not!
pe@ce

Well the story is that after ATL, Pac, and Money B did their last studio session for "Call It What You Want" Pac (specifically) asked ATL "what do you call this sound/style....shit is dope" etc. etc. And ATL replied "it's a new style we came up with called G-Funk, some funky shit that gangsters can roll too" etc. etc. So Pac and Money B were in fact two of the 5 OG's, who saw G-Funk being created in the studio then bringing it to the streets and of course, the name and sound got "sampled" repeatedly.  What Up Seer  ;)

Oh and when I worked for Priority, the label did release a "clean" and instrumental version of "Keep Your Heads Ringin'" It was brought up during one of our marketing/promo meetings to get the song played in many retail chain stores and to do that they needed something clean to do that, plus stores such as K Mart would only sell clean versions of singles. Not sure if they still do.

I know I have about 5 retail CD singles in my collection somewhere, but they have no cover art.

^ i figured it odd that my CD Single was dirty... (and sup ;))
I have it on 12".. but my technics is under a big pile of cd's right now.. lol.  The sleeve says its the LP ver.. just like that single i presume.

Also.. like someone said above.. there may in fact be differences between the 3 dirty version (likely between the GH and other one..).

I'm sure i've got a version somewhere else apart from that clean mpeg video rip where the lyrics are switched up a little.

other factor of course could be that some people have clean versions of the soundtrack/gh album.

is "3. Keep their heads ringin' (original 12" version) - Dr. Dre" anything rare? or is it like the radio and single version?

i think there are a few lines that are different
there is a line, "i'm 6 feet, 225 of pure chocolate"
on the friday ost version its, "i'm 6'1, 225 of pure chocolate"

nothing very different. its a different recording. same beat, same lyrics.
