Suge Knight Supporters Launch Write-A-Thon
« on: August 19, 2003, 09:30:53 PM »
Suge Knight may be gone for awhile but he's not forgotten. Last month, the "Mike Tyson" of hip-hop was given 10 months in prison after a parole board found that he struck a 25-year old Hollywood nightclub valet. But Knight's camp is inviting supporters to engage in a "Suge Knight Write-a-Thon," wherein fans from East to West can mail a letter to the notorious rap mogul while he serves out the remainder of his sentence at the California Institution for Men.

Suge had been jailed since June 27 before a parole board on July 31st found that the 6-3, 315 pound-former football player and bodyguard violated his parole when he was said to have punched parking attendant Mehdi Lazrak in the back of the head out in front of the White Lotus Club, a popular celebrity hangout frequented by some of Tinsel Town's elite. Many in the hip-hop community believe that this time, Suge Knight received a bum rap. As such, SOHH.com has been given the exclusive authority to publish the address to where 37-year old Marion "Suge" Knight is being held and invite supporters to write the embattled mogul.

Fans, upstart rappers/businessmen looking for advice or anyone wishing to express their deepest, most profound thoughts to Knight, can address all letters to:

In related news, Suge is set to release Death Row Presents 2Pac Nu Mixx Klazzics, a fresh album celebrating the life and music of the rap Icon Tupac Shakur. The album is scheduled for release on October 7th on Death Row/Koch Records. The 10-track album will include vintage tunes by 2Pac, but totally revamped to fit today's style of rap. Knight, who executive produced the album, said that he took Tupac's best tracks and "sp!ced them up a bit." The album will also include remixes of "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted (featuring Snoop Dogg)," "How Do You Want it (featuring Jodeci)" and "Hit 'Em Up," the diss-track aimed at the late Notorious B.I.G. and other East coast rappers. The first single, "Life Goes On," will hit radio on September 9th.
