What non-Hip-Hop do you listen too?
« on: August 23, 2003, 05:44:52 PM »
i'm sure this thread has been done before but anyways... I listen to Matthew Good Band (like their parodic/satyrical style) Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rick James, Parliament, Roger & Zapp, Isaac Hayes. How about y'all?

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

I listen to a lot of R&B. When I go out I there's always trance and that kind of music. On TV I like to watch program where they report dance events like Dance Valley and all that. DJ Tiesto rules!
