Does any know about the Konnectid project?
« on: August 24, 2003, 04:48:55 PM »
I've been searching amazon and cdnow looking for some DJ Quik-related albums.  I saw this one on cdnow i think and it's discontinued, but it looks like it's a compilation album.  I think I got a few tracks off it and it sounds tight.

Does anyone have this album?  How is it?  And do you know where I can grab a copy?

Not sure where u'd get a copy...but its tight, I got mine a few years ago.

Around 3/4 of it is produced by Quik...

There some good Mausburg songs (RIP), and the opening song by Xzibit and Hi-C is pretty tight...

I highly recommend this album man

i wanna get this real bad but amazon.com is out of stock  :-\

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
