any Richie Rich fans?
« on: August 28, 2003, 11:04:15 AM »
damn, this guy is so dope. He's got the smoothest flow i've heard, he rips up every guest appearances. Anyways, are his albums worth buying? Thanks in advance

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Nixon Pryor Roundtree is pretty bad, the only tite song on it is Say Bitch with Too Short.  That song is really tite, the rest of the album blows.

"So When You Need Me, Screem Double R When You See Me"--Richie Rich

I Think He Has The Dopest Voice.  I Recomend Half Thang.

definitely start with "Seasoned Veteran", classic album all the way through, even has that song dedicated to 2pac, "Do G'z Get to go to Heaven", this is the best song dedicated to pac ever :o, plus u get the rest of the album which is nothin but smoothness

if u like this one then get Half Thang, damn really its OOP, i just seen a sealed copy the other day  ???

The Game is pretty tight - didn't get a lot of love and it takes a few listens to get into, but there are some quality tracks on it - 'The Truth', 'Bring It Back' and 'If' are dope.

Exactly, I also have The Game and at first I didn't really like that album. But after I listened to it a few times it started to grow on me. It's a good album.

I love his albums "Half thang" and "Seasoned Veteran", but I didn't like his last two.
