Bone Are Off Ruthless
« on: September 04, 2003, 04:36:43 PM »
After spending almost 10 years on Eazy E's Ruthless Records, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are officially off the label and are actively seeking a record deal.

"Most of the time we were on Ruthless, we were unhappy," Krayzie Bone told AllHipHop.com. "We said we would do one more album with them and if they didn't market it and promote it, it would be the end of our careers."

According to Krayzie, the issues started after Eazy-E passed away in 1995 and the company was turned over to his wife, Tomika Woods-Wright.

"If Eazy were still alive, our careers and Ruthless would have taken a whole different direction," Krayzie continued. "He was a visionary, that's why he had so much success with his label. That's the problem, there was no vision over there."

And according to Bone, it was that lack of vision and contractual disputes that kept their careers on ice and prevented them from even releasing solo efforts.

"She had our solo deals, she had this and that. If we got deals for it she woulda got broke off. N*ggas was at the point where we wasn't trying to pay this b*tch for sh*t she didn't do."

After a meeting regarding their next album ended up in another contractual dispute, Woods-Wright simply offered to let the group go.

"Our fans may have thought it was us, but it wasn't us at all, it was label bullsh*t. Now that we are free, we feel like we felt when we first came into the game. We are ready to run with it."

And that positive momentum is something Krayzie said the group seeks to keep.

He said there was no animosity towards former group member Bizzy Bone, but they didn't want to do anything to bring any unnecessary issues into their group.

"Bizzy is doing his thing. If we bring any old problems, it's like being signed to Ruthless. Our whole career has been Krazy, Lazy and Wish. Bizzy hasn't really showed up for anything, except when it benefited him."

The group has recorded over 30 songs for their next untitled album and is actively seeking a home for their next project.

The group is in talks with Arista, Universal and other labels at the present time.

Def Jam still got some archived lyrics from Flesh "N" Bone when he was on there  from 96-97.  I hope Bone can get a deal with them, and have those verses too.  By the way, when is Flesh getting out?  I heard he'll be a full-time Bone member on release from prison.

Didn't they have a chance to leave Ruthless before, but they re-signed?  I hope they ARE off for good now though and like Krayzie said, they'll be like when they first came into the game.

I actually don't care anymore..

Been a Bone fan since there first album and they were my fav group of all time till after the release of RESS.

That album imo was Bone at there peak and i love that album but from then on they released balls and bone gets back together, then breaks up then gets back together then breaks up ect..

Everyone blames bizzy, then its all krays fault, then bizzys. Fucking retards.

Then Lay drops a average solo, Krays "Thug on da line" is the worst album i've ever heard in hip hop (although "Leatherface" was good) and TWO is wak.

Even worst is bone kept saying all 5 were on the TWO album but instead they released a rnb album chatting about there back and never fell off and NO FLESH IN SIGHT.

Flesh fucking saved Bones ass with RESS and made that album into a beast of an album and they can't even spare a few unreleased verses for TWO.

Bah!!!

at this time i don't give a damn about them til they sort there act out.

shit, i just want bone to come back and drop some raw shit like before.
Coz you see at the age of birth, we was contaminated with the caucasions curse/
I dont know what came first, the pententiary or the purse/
But I aint into that crap, I'd rather lay back and start working on my raps/
While you niggas stay strapped, with a hoe on your lap, with a dirty puss and crack/
While I stay intact with my people, and carry the mic which is lethal/

Bone ain't Bone without Bizzy....ImO
Kinda Like N.W.A. without Eazy-E
TLC without Lisa "Left eye" Lopes {RIP}
D-12 without Eminem
D.P.G.C. without Snoop Dogg
Peanut butter without Jelly....ect

Without the meat...{AkA the heart & soul of the group}
ImO..they become average.

Loved Bone since the drop, But I'll always ride with my favorite member, cause to me his sound and very essence is what the group is to me. When I thing Bone thug's, the first thing that's pop's in my head is Bizzy's verse to any song he's ever spitt on that includes his crew/& those other's he has killed on collab track's..(such as 2Pac & Biggie}

let's hope they get their ish together...
cause the Commadores need "Lionel Ritchie"
The Jackson 5 need "Michael Jackson"...ect

I'm high but still able..lol
