v.poor game all round.  Only Beckham stood out and that was only in the second half.

Owen, Campbell, Lampard, all had very awful games.

I know - as was Ashley Cole's attempts to pretend he's a decent defender

Sol looks lost without Rio to guide him

beckham played like a leader.  He played the best easily.  Hargrees done ok but gave the ball away a few times.

COle also had an awful game.  I think we approach these games with a dumb ass attitude, we think because its a weak team they aint gunna press us and cause us problems, everone goes out thinking that if they play a bit less than their best then there will always be somebody there to clear up their mess for them, NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Garry Neville, lol, what an offside trap look like son? muppet and he's our international right back? lol.

At least we're the best at Rugby, we're safe from the fucking Nevilles there.

Anyone gonna try and explain Sol Campbell's actions to me?

Neville G - not international class but still the best England have - embarassing

It's time Wayne Bridge got a run at left back because Ashley Cole is atrocious

Terry and Rio look the partnership at the back

Another useless England performance, this is starting to get ridiculous. No width, no creativity, our goals came from a long ball with a knock down header, and a defender getting fouled in the box. Against better teams it just isn't gonna work. I think it's time for 3-5-2.

                                      James
                      Terry      Campbell      Ferdinand
        Hargreaves                                             Bridge
                            Beckham      Gerrard
                                     Scholes
                            Rooney        Owen

Beckham and Gerrard are too creative to do the donkey work

Nicky Butt is essential to any England 11

We beat Macedonia away 2-1 on a shite pitch infront of however many hostile fans making monkey noises at our black players, good result, whatever way you look at it.

When are people gonna realize that we're not France, Brazil or Italy nor do we have the potential to be, we aint gonna hammer teams 5-1 every match, we dont have the ability too.  We're playing with a 17 year old kid up front, however good he may be, that says it all.

Also people keep blaming our defence, what about our midfield and attack? Could someone tell me where defending should start from? Its easy too scapegoat the defence as usual, so lets ignore the facts eh?

I dont know why Ash plays so badly for England (the formation has a lot to do with it). For Arsenal he is a world class performer every week, one of our top three players EVERY game. He just seems to have no confidence playing for a VERY average England team.
And anyone who think wayne bridge is a better player than cole obviously knows nothing about the game. bridge is not in coles class, he will be a liability for chelsea this year.
And as for your last comment did you see Rio's last game for England? shocking is not the word.

Btw did Owen even play last night? We may as well just give the ball to the other team instead of wasting time passing to him to hold it up.

I pretty much agree with what you said WE ARE NOT A QUALITY INTERNATIONAL TEAM.

Jay I dunno what your talking about, NIcky butt is never an essential player for england, never has been never will be.

As for your last paragraph Joachim, the defence last night was shocking, no scapegoat involved!!!
