Well..this is kinda difficult to answer cuz the "Ruthless Dre" sound was made up with Dj Yella...So if u want to be real technical u should only divide Dre inn only 2 eras..Death Row and Aftermath...and choosin between those two is pretty eazy....Death Row Dre fo sho..

Peace

listen to the songs.. we've been through this here before..  how about docs album? doc+the doctor...yella doesnt get a credit on there...  compare how often they mention yella producing to dre on NWA stuff, they shout dre out *a lot*. it seems yella was involved mostly on the older sounding drum machine driven tracks.. yes yella did drums.. but dre -produced. Later Dre sampled a lot of the same records on efilzaggin and the chronic + doggystyle. ones ATL fans claim dre 'stole' knowledge of with their blueprint for BML.. and used on the chronic.. but.. he was spinning those p-funk tunes back in the day when he dj'd.. they werent rare tracks..

Yes we have been this before..and its gettin real tired by now lol  8)..the fact his THIS..the ONLY produced Dr Dre record in the Ruthless Era is DOC "No one can do it better" (if u dont believe me please check all the ruthless catalog creditlistning)  all those other records are produced with another person with in 95 % of those bein Dj Yella. Then we can argue forever  how much Dre was responsible for in the NWA sound and Yella was..MY thought is that Yella had atleast as much influence in those records as Dre, but u think that Dre did the most of it..ur fact that he gets more props throughout the songs is correct but i think that is a natural thing cause he was also a rapper therefore he stole all of the limelight. Its like when people shoutout E-A Ski all the time throughout the songs and all the people think that EA is the only producer of the songs when the fact is that it has alwayz SAID "Produced by E-A-SKI and CMT" ..do u ever see anybody mention CMT? Naw cause he isnt the rapper therefore no light on him...

I thought Death Row Dre right off the jump, but then I started thinkin' of the Ruthless Dre (Niggaz4Life production :)).....I like the production on Niggaz4Life a tad more than the Chronic.

Ruthless Dre, specifically Efil4zaggin Dre. His best production imo.

tnp

I love Efil4zaggin, but if you lump that in with Deep Cover / Chronic & Doggystyle + Keep Their Heads Ringin..  ;D

thast my fave dre... late ruthless / early row ('91-'95 dre)
"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
