Tha Row & Crooked I
« on: September 15, 2003, 08:53:22 AM »
Take a look at the DeathRow catalouge. The last release from an actual present artist was from Michel'le in 98 (apart of the original deathrow family)

It seems as if Suge is scared to take a risk with any new artist or is he intentionally doing this?? Crooked's Album was supposed to drop before dogg pound 2002 - We've seen two 2Pac albums being released or planned with still no sign.

Are the artists on deathrow there to keep the image of rapping going??? Or is DeathRow really being more involved with Gang Activity because of Harry O's possible release in a year and a half???

What's your views?

Tha Row needs to focus on putting out the Crooked I album, once they did that, I think they will get the respect back from the fans. Because lately I've noticed that the fans are sick of seeing the album getting postponed every time (which is absolutely normal!)

I think it's just that Suge is a bad businessman, and he's still livin' in a world where Pac is on top of the game. Little does he know that if Crook, Kurupt, Eastwood, YA, and Danny Boy all had albums released on Tha Row then they would have a very good chance of bein' bacc on the top.

Thats true...................but I think Sugen cant concentrate 100% on the music when he has the pigs sniffing round him 24/7..................that dogg has a plan just you watch!!!!!

That's a good point too. He needs to straighten out his life and stop gettin' into all that legal trouble. Then he would be able to concentrate on his label and the sicc ass artists he has signed.

I still personally feel that they missed out Crooked I's oppertunity with the album "Untouchable"!!!! They had a lot of attention with him (regardless if it was the internet) around that time and a single/video with Sisqo. If they had released that album in 2000/2001 they would have built enough respect from a lot of doubtful fans. Wasn't September meant to be the release date for "Say Hi To Tha Bad Guy"?? If so and it has been delayed again that would make Crooked's projects being delayed a total number of "7" times... 2Pac's remix is next?!!! The next releases should look like this and why:

September:   2Pac : Nu Mixxes -> Give them a little bit of extra money to put into other current artists

October/Nov:   Tha Realest : Deathrow Dayz -> (released through 2Real Entertainment) will give them extra money

December:   Christmas On DeathRow Vol. 2 -> Lets a lot of people see and hear the current roster and they can pick up and touch up on mistakes made on the last release

January:   Crooked I   -> Surely by that time, after him being on all the 3 ^^^ releases, he should have his album released

March:      Kurupt Presents: -> Gail Gotti & Eastwood, drop both albums on the same day!!!!

June:      Danny Boy -> The long awaited album

After that - concentrate on the current roster

I agree. He had his chance to blow, but fuckin' delays. Doesn't make any sense to brag about how tight you are when you can't even get a damn album out....and let's not even mention guest appearances...

yeah crooked i's situation is a bit shitty, even if hie dropped his album and it didn't do good back in 2000/2001...he could've learned from his mistakes and dropped a better one now.... now he's going to have to learn from the mistakes on this one and fix them on his next alnum in 2014...
