Just saw a brand new interview with 50, interviewed by Norwegian TV2, and 50 said that he's currently at 9 million.. and the reporters confirmed it too.

Surely this means that he must go diamond (10 times plat.), as both "P.I.M.P. remix" and "21 Questions" are both hot on TV and radio..
And I wouldn't be surprised to see "If I can't" as a late sleeper-single..

Anybody know if "Eminem Show" went diamond ?, it was 9 times last time I heard..
50 may end up getting bigger than his mentor..

Last I time I heard was when "In da club" was still hot, and it was 6 mill in U.S., approaching 7.. and with the release of PIMP remix and 21 Questions, I think it's quite possible that it's 9 mill. in just the states.

Surely, he have at least sold 3-4 mill. since then.

Neither of his 2 current singles was out 3 months ago, so I think 9 mill. in U.S. is a good estimate.

theres no possible way that 50 sold 3-4 million copies in the last 3 months, maybe he sold a million and counting but thats it. I agree with AlerG and say that he's at around 6 million maybe about 6.2 right now, by the end of his run he'll end up at 8 million MAX but thats it, theres no way in hell he's gonna go diamond in the US alone. Oh and eminems last lp just hit 9 million a lil while ago and will not hit diamond either.

like here you need to sell a lot less records to go gold/platinum, its all proportional to population/size of country.

here is the UK system

Singles : platinum 600,000. gold 400,000, silver 200,000
Albums : platinum 300,000, gold 100,000, silver 60,000

(note, no diamond, but a diamond album n the UK should be 3,000,000 copies. ? (10 x platinum) )

here is the US system

Singles, Diamond 10,000,000, platinum 2,000,000, gold 1,000,000
Albums, Diamond 10,000,000, platinum 1,000,000, gold 500,000


So to be fair, a worldwide system should use another scheme.
