Van Gogh bootleg VS. Golden Chyld bootleg
« on: September 23, 2003, 06:45:10 PM »
It seems to me that "Van Gogh" was the OG album, and then "Goldyn Chyld" is a modified "Van Gogh" with some added tracks..

Tracks in bold are released/leaked/previewed:

VAN GOGH tracklist:

1 Hot Game
2 Goldyn Chyld
3 Back It Up - (featuring Kokane)
4 Kiss U
5 Kick Rocks
6 4 Much - (featuring Bad Azz, Nate Dogg and Tash)
7 What U Want
8 Is Is Love?
9 Sex
10 NBA - (featuring Golden State Project)
11 One Night
12 Ah-Ha
13 Root Of Evil
14 Van Gogh
15 TV Guide

GOLDEN CHYLD tracklist:

1 Revelations 22, 22 (feat. Kay Slay intro)
2 The Whoop (ft. Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes, Dina Ray)
3 Goldyn Chyld remix (prod. by Primo)
4 Everything and More (feat. Isis)
5 C What I C (ft. Pharoahe Monch)
6 Is this Love
7 Hate Me More
8 Fuck U up (Prod. by Scott Storch)
9 Back it Up
10 Drinks up High
11 Sex
12 NBA
13 Kick Rocks

14 Happiness
15 The Stance

Meaning that there is 6 unheard tracks from the latest disc... 5 without the useless Kay Slay intro.
Also, the new version of "Kiss U" might be one of those tracks with a new name.

Van Gogh Has To Be One Of The Best Put Together Albums Ever.  Solid As Fuck.  Every Song Is Fresh.  I Haven't Heard Golden Child But It Has Most Of The Same Tracks Plus New Version Of Kiss U Called "Kiss Of Death".  Dope.

Ras Kass himself confirmed that tracklist in the interview with DubCNN.com

i liked the van Gogh bootlegg (peep my review of it in the review section) but it had the odd weak track here and there. Im disappointed that Goldyn chyld is simply a modified Van Gogh album and not a new album.

I think when the goldyn chyld album is bootlegged im gonna create my own super version of it like i did with Van Gogh.

 ;D

I wish he had the masters of the Soul on ice demo though, that would have been classic if it was leaked/released.

1. When have I jumped to conclusions?

2. In the interview Ras even said himself that his memory was a bit sketchy, as well as he probably was forgetting about 3 traccz.

Word.
A few weak tracks on Van Gogh prevented the classic status.. and the single was kinda dumb, and dragged the total down..

Van Gogh is like a 7.5/10

Ras Kass will not release a classic album anytime soon.  It seems like everything is rushed now.

When he gets out he should take his time, get the great producers he's capable of getting and release a 12 track album.  Then he might get his classic.  But it seems like he just wants to get an album out and sell alot of units, so I don't think this is going to happen.
