Jomes Quick Review of Tha EASTSIDAZ bootleg...
« on: September 26, 2003, 11:11:02 PM »
Too much Battlecat on here, imo..
Wouldn't mind some Alchemist, or maybe some Evidence, Dre or Storch..
And where's Meech.. ???

01 ³ Max Julien Intro                        ³ 02:00 ³
Useless intro, go away.

02 ³ Blue Suede Shoes Ft. Daz & Kokane, Ricky Harris
Pretty pimpish, but a little too 80's for my taste.. sounds dated.
OK Julio G beat, but hardly amazing..

03 ³ Parking Lot Pimpin Ft. Truth Hurts      ³ 04:09 ³        ³
Pretty hot, the chorus by Truth Hurts & Goldie Loc is SMOOOOOTH..
Dope verses by both TrayC and Gol-D, and the Fred-beat is simple, but efficient.
Especially Goldie shines on here.
Summer-anthemish..

04 ³ Succ Me Licc Me Bitch Ft. Bokie Loc      ³ 04:05 ³        ³
Goldie is brilliant on his own beats, in co-op with Battlecat..
This tracks sounds a lil uninspired though.. pretty simple concept.
Bokie Loc sounds like a random dude spitting a verse.. lol
Average track, wouldn't like to see it on the album.

05 ³ Hard Times Ft. Redman                    ³ 05:02 ³        ³
Smoooth shit, Fredwreck comes dope on the beat..
They all tear up the beat, some funky talkbox use and Kokane smooths the chorus out..
Goldie & Tray going back and forth is priceless..
Dope cameo by Redman, as usual:

Caddillac Snoop Deville on 22's, Redman's the name dawg
Who the fuck are youuuu ??

06 ³ The Heat Ft. Mamie Gunn                  ³ 04:05 ³        ³
I like the fast beat, and the funky chorus.. by the singer and Goldie Loc
Some upbeat verses, Tray comes hard, but Goldie KILLS it:

I hope you got your heat, cuz I keep mine on me
I gotz to make these motherfuckers back up off a G
Six in the chamber with the hammer cocked back
And no remorse as I squeeze to make your cranium crack
Excuse me, what I gotta do to get my point across
I ain't worried about losing, I can't take no loss
Boss up, and back up off me
Before I have to make this heater smell like coffee beans
The serial number is scratched off the gun
And when you hear it poppin', everybody gonna run
I dip my shells in battery acid, I ain't worried about your vest, this shit rip through plastic
I keep my shells with the names ingraved on 'em
Remember, I'm the one that went crazy all on 'em
Mama always said, it'll come back on me
So I hit the church-house, praying with my heat

Sick.. Goldie rips this JellyRoll-beat, just like he did on Paid the Cost, he raped that JellyRoll-beat too..

07 ³ Lets Go Ft. Nate Dogg  & Ricky Harris    ³ 04:51 ³        ³
Simple, efficient, and smooth.. Nate Dogg kills it..
"Instant classic" says DJ Eazy Dick.. TruE!
Goldie & Tray comes with some smooth lyrics, for once.. lol
The Battlecat beat is simple, but this time he added some effects which Dre is known to use..
Obligatory on the album.

08 ³ Chemical Reaction                        ³ 04:27 ³        ³
Pretty sweet beat, with a dope sampled voice..
Battlecat stepped up his game..
Cool chorus by Tray Deee, this tracks gets better with time.
Nice co-op by Goldie & Tray..

09 ³ Real Talk Ft Mc Ren & Bigg Rocc          ³ 04:37 ³        ³
This beat does NOT fit MC Ren.. too slow for him.
The track is too 1-dimentional, imo..
Poor chorus, boring beat.. would have expected some harder shit from the ES/Ren combo..

10 ³ Sumthin 4 Nuthin                        ³ 04:29 ³        ³
A little boring, but gets better with a listen or two..
Too average, JellyRoll beat sounds like a leftover.

11 ³ Rug Burnz Ft. Kokane Ms Pam Suga Free    ³ 04:32 ³        ³
Pretty coo Kokane-chorus..
Beat is aight, sounds a little too leftoverish..

12 ³ Friday Night Ft. Bokie Loc              ³ 03:59 ³        ³
Standard Battlecat, dope verses, but sounds too average..

13 ³ In My Eyes                              ³ 05:52 ³        ³
Sounds unfinished.. but the Fredwreck beat is coo, the chorus is dope.
Verses are dope too, sounds like it could do with a little polish, but it's pretty aight.

14 ³ Doin it for Life Ft. Butch Cassidy &  Blaqtoven
Pretty smooth.. sweet Butch-chorus, and coo verses..
Grows on you for each listen..

15 ³ Bottom Girl Ft. Nate Dogg & Kokane      ³ 03:54 ³        ³
I have heard this track before, I think it's older than some of the other tracks..
Pretty standard Battlecat beat, aight Nate-chorus..

16 ³ Eastside Gangsta Ft. Jelly Roll          ³ 05:54 ³        ³
Proper gangsta-shit.. hard as hell.
JellyRoll impresses on this one..
Goldie & Tray kills their verses, crip crip crip-shyyyet. lol
Funky Kokane as well.. dope track.

17 ³ Bacc on the Blocc Ft Snoop Dogg          ³ 04:07 ³        ³
Coo track, but I'm already tired of it.. the beat is too simple.

Oh no, they did it again (Did it again)
Two dubs with the third homie done shitted again
Makin' it sound like the earth about to crack up

Cool verses though..

    ³      ³    ³ CD2         ³      ³        ³

 01 ³ Paper Paper Ft . Snoop Dogg              ³ 04:02 ³        ³
A little funky, but not amazing..
I bet it can get pretty annoying soon.

 02 ³ Succed Up Ft Snoop Dogg                  ³ 03:17 ³        ³
A knotch better than the previous, but sounds a little strange with ES on such beats..

 03 ³ Feel Alright Ft. Snoop Dogg              ³ 04:06 ³        ³
Not my cup of tea.. sounds like they're fuckin around.

 04 ³ Vegetarian Ft. Snoop Dogg & Ricky Harris ³ 05:14 ³        ³
Aight track, funky beat, nice verses..

 05 ³ For Gangstas Only                        ³ 04:14 ³        ³
The 2nd CD sounds like leftovers, for some reason..

 06 ³ Gang Bang Muzic Ft. Weasel Loc          ³ 03:55 ³        ³
If this is the title-track, then :-\
Sounds strange, and unfinished.

Pretty standard Battlecat beat, aight Nate-chorus..
its from one of the kokane advances

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

Could it be "Vegeterian" from CD 2?

That's the "Vegetarian" track.. the chorus says "Hog Mogs & Chit'lings", but there's no Outkast on it.. (yet)

I'm luvin the BC beats, and this bootleg is straight heat imo.  of course my opinion is biased because tray deee and goldie loc are my fav rappers at the moment.  I was a lil dissapointed with the track they did w/ ren tho, I expected more from that collabo.  and I gotta say I like the eastsidaz much better w/o snoop.
