**WHY**

why is it that everybody on the west complain that we ain't on the map and that the east coast get all the love on the radio stations out here in los angeles to be specific.i feel like cats on the west is all about snoop and dre and the rest of they crew.its alot of up and coming good artist out of the west but no one here supports them everybody waiting on detox.new york support each other with mixtapes down south got they local talent even in northern cali they got they hometown artist.but to me cats in socal be hating if it ain't xzibit or dre it's wack.the west ain't gone ever comeback if yall keep depending on cats with enough money to stop rapping to do it..in other words support new cats.don't get me wrong i'm a fan of dre and snoop but we got much more to offer............ IMO

in SD, its a different story. Muhafuckas out here support local talent. Its mostly LA that LOVES the commercial shit. To me, its more the radio stations that need to get wit it. Eastcoast stations play Eastcoast music....period! We play EVERYbodies shit out here, and it hurts our artists. Not to mention, alot of Down South and Eastcoast music appeals to females. Its more commercial, and dance type shit. More made for MTV. So u have a bigger range of listeners. Basically just bandwagon fans IMO anywayz. But yah, Westcoast radio stations need to grow some balls and stickin to the Westcoast shit. Support local talent, and not always go with....basically....pop music.

Even if ya look at the bay area, that have a huge underground scene, with a huge following. LA cant even compare...

U kno ya shit...especially as far as females because they like whatever is on radio. L.A. is the only big city that doesn't really care about their own artists more than they care about the TV artists. Now girls in L.A. love Quik, Suga Free, etc. much more than females in other cities outside the west, but I blame radio for sellin out. I know for fact that L.A. DJ's take money from other companies and artists to play their shit and promote it. I donno y Julio G was fired, but I think it's partially because he supported The West to the fuuuuuuuuuuullest. Felle Fel is coo but even he be hypin up bullshit from other coasts that is garbage...puttin on tha siren, actin like it's just sooo dope.

man i cut off my radio years ago.......but i still listen from time to time to see what they playing and on my way to work i listen to 106 because i hate steve harvey non funny ass on 100.3 and 92.3 is for old people but sometimes i'll rather listen to that then the same song 100 times.i don't blame it on the radio because they doing what they know people want to hear its the prople who needs to up there quaility in music......and now with 50 cent in the game if you ain't wearing a vest you soft eazy was wearing a vest way back when fab five freddy was interviewing them on the back of a truck.....beside getting shot don't make you hard it just means somebody was trying to kill ya ass...IMO.........i'm out official records

i quit listening to radio like 7 years ago, i remember when julio g was on 92.3 and he had a westside show every friday for like 2 hours (8-10), each week he would showcase and bring it a southern cali artist and rep to the fullest, he had guest such as above the law, allfrumthai etc.... and many many more, basically it was the era when westcoast music on the radio was dyin

now i dont listen to the radio at all, i just get my info. online as far as albums and songs go
