  • The best in the game today....Black Jack Johnson
I bought 4 CDs by CMW & MC Eiht:

Music to Driveby
1989-99-When We Wuz Bangin'
Death Threatz
We Come Strapped

And I Like them all a lot, like 4.5/5 each. Can anyone tell me if each of these ones are worth buying?

It's A Compton Thang (CMW)
Straight Check'nem (CMW)
Represent (CMW)
Hood Arrest (Eiht)
Last Man Standing (Eiht)
N My Neighborhood (Eiht)
Underground Hero (Eiht)
Tha8t'z Gangsta (Eiht)
Section 8 (Eiht)

Which are the best ones? Which ones are worth picking up?

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

I'd recommend It's a Compton Thang (kind of an older feeling though), definitely Straight Checkn Em and Represent and I like N My Neighborhood but I would get that after the others. I would stay away from Last Man Standing and Hood Arrrest, while the others fall in between (meaning get them if they are in the $2-$5 range)
