Breezio and Lincoln-  I too think that pac had more lyrical talent than he showed on AEOM, and i think the subject matter of many songs was disappointing.  However, you fools are both trippin'.lol  You say yourself it "only" had this or that many classic songs, and the rest were for the radio.  Big fucking deal, at least it had some classic songs damnit!  And besides, although my three favourite rappers are Masta Ace, Ras KAss and Nas, i will be the first to admit that a song made for the radio can still be classic!  Anyone whos says otherwise is trying to be too underground in my opinion.  It is great to admire and love the work of artists like Dead Prez, Paris, etc, and it is nice to see someone supporting these artists.  HOwever, some people (mainly LINCOLN) really need to stop it because they are making themselves look foolish.

Cuz if you really think AEOM is the worst album ever released from DEATH ROW over TG4R, Chronic 2000, Hung Jury, or Nu Mixx CLassics, then it is OBVIOUS you fools are trying to be underground.  I was on an underground only tip for a couple years, where if the lyrics werent amazing i labeled it as wack, but then i sat back and slapped myself because i realized different artists bring different styles to the game.  WHen done right, like Cali Love, I aint mad at Ya, How DO u Want it, etc, radio hits can be just as good or better than a paris song.   peace

oh ya, i am not trying to be an asshole or anything, i just think statements like "all eyse on me may be the worst album ever put out by death row" are full of hate and stupidity

If Pac didn't die, All Eyez On Me would've been just another double LP with lots of filler.

Well i disagree with the "filler" statement, i do acknowledge the cd was a disappointment for many of Pac's fans who were expecting something a little more thoughtful and sincere.

However, if Pac never died, the cd woulda have sold just as much with songs like Cali Love, How DO u Want It, i Aint mad at ya, all about u, U cant c me......all of which were huge singles or coulda been HUGE (cant c me and all about U)!

I have a feeling alot of you dissing AEOM were about 10 or 12 when Pac dropped this cd, and therefore have no clue about the cd and just think it is fashionable to dis PAc nowadays because of all the internet pAc groupies.  Give the guy credit, this cd is a COMMERCIAL achievement, almost every song coulda been a hit, and as far as that only DOggystyle is fucking with this cd.  peace

LOL @ not having a clue about the cd. Funny, I'm only 19, but I've been into Hip Hop since the at least 1991.  I think I know what I'm talking about. Yea, sure, the album would've sold, but sales don't mean shit. Examples are 50, Nelly and Ja Rule. Even the wackest artists sell. Let's drop the sales bullshit. If All Eyez was one CD it would've been real dope. But, Pac put a lot of filler tracks that could've been cut out. I think you think it's fashionable to give this CD props.

Well said Teecee, Props...

AEOM was the pinnacle of west coast rap at the time. Granted it had a lot of radio tracks and 'raps for the bitches' as Pac called it, but that album was full of amazing music. Lyrically Pac was on fire fresh out of jail, production was top-notch, polished west coast ish. It was an incredible cd and still is today. Sure its not as deep as MATW, its not as personal and interesting as Makaveli, but its a great album. Pac's third best IMO, but still perfect and a classic on a lot of levels.

I think alot of people just get that curse where you have to call something shitty because a lot of squares start listening to it and it becomes over-played, over-exposed, and over-discussed. But regardless, I think you have to give this album its due.

R.I.P. Pac

I never said Pac was a sellout because of that album, that was Breezio. I simply don't like the album. How is that making me look foolish?

Because he's a Pac fanatic, and he gets upset at anyone who says a bad word about Pac.

Point out where I said that. I just agreed with Breezio saying AEOM wasn't very good. He didn't say it was the worst ever either.

You're on point right there, but you both + Bez still said it's one of the worst Death Row albums... everybody can have his own opinion, but some people on this board have something against everything that sells well and you are one of them.

Give me another example where I diss something just because it sold. I like Pac's other albums (before his death) and they all sold.

Where I'm from, giving an album 4/5 is far from dissing it. That's a great rating. BTW What's My Name is so fuckin wack it isn't funny. I got sick of that song after like 5 listens.
