Do yall honestly think IV Life is gonna sell?

First of all i love the music IV Life puts out. i downloaded 1.4 and bases loaded and im gonna buy vol 1 when the online store is online. but honestly what is IV Life doing that artists like Defari, Bad Azz, Rass Kass, Sly Boogy etc havent done. What i mean to say is theyre great but its been done before and it hasnt sold. people talk about IV Life blowing up. I hope they do, itll be great for hip-hop but i doubt it. i still support them and will as long as they keep releasing good music. i think people are getting ahead of themselves saying they're gonna go platinum n all. im sorry if im stepping on toes here but its just the way i feel.

they're putting a lot of effort into making sure they've got the promo and distribution for their album right (inc things like features in the source around the time), people shouldnt have a prob finding it.. most people that bother to listen to them seem to like em.. thats good in my eyes. i've never heard anyone slaggin iv life off for anything, yes they arent going to sell in gigantic numbers - thats obvious but they're something thats been missing for a while.. they're trying to come up without coming up off of someone elses coat tails, they're all about positIVity, name someone else out west like em (as a label not those you listed) who isnt trying to come up off of controversy and beef?

How I look at it.... Every site, Every forum, Every artist (From Cali) basically know who IV Life are AND TALK ABOUT THEM! Death Row forum, DPG, Bigsaccs.com..... All this talk with NO releases? The fans must like something which is cool. I hope they blow the hell up. They got the backing and money LOL..



The westcoast needs 'a new breed' and thats what they are, mixed with serious VET's like DJ Slip, Tray Deee. Everyone wants to work with IV Life they got love on the streets... Not to mention IV Life got offices in Arizona, Cali-IV-nia even Japan!

IV Life Vol 2 Tha New Breed is gonna be on a huge distrobution deal with on of the majors...iv life's 1st album (vol 1 was a bootleg)

How are the IV Life dudes a "new breed" ? IMO They're no different than the Steady Gang from the West, or even D12. I still enjoy they mixtapes though.

Answer: they have no head-man that's already famous. Strong Arm Steady has Xzibit as the main rapper. D 12 has Eminem.

word up.  and they ain't using eminem/50 Cent or some other radio hogg to help them out.  Much props to them for that.

Yeah they make dope music and like what I have heard.  I am going to support them fa sho.  but no, I don't see them selling a lot unless they change their whole game plan.  Gangsta rap just don't sell anymore, why do you think snoop and dre don't do it anymore?  If you wanna sell a lot as a rapper you really have to appeal to:

the radio
mtv
9-15 year olds
girls
 
IV life unfortunately (fortunately to me tho) do not appeal to any of them.  Besides the net peeps and LA, probably not more than 150,000 people (if that) have even heard of IV Life.  and I know everybody on the net ain't gonna buy the album (I'm sure most of you are going to d/l if you get the opportunity).  But hell if you can sell 50,000 copies and make $5 a copy that = $250,000, and that ain't bad at all.  Drop 2 albums a year and you could be making a half a mil a year.  Sure they ain't making $10 million a year like snoop, but at least they still got their dignity, pride, and respect that I doubt snoop could ever earn back from a lot of people.
