SGV's Various Thoughts

Booyaa T.R.I.B.E.'s song "Take Yo Fade" with Crooked I, Eastwood & Kokane was tight, but needed a harder beat and hook. The song is about knocking a muthafucka out, the beat was too bouncy IMO.

Gawtti, Murder One and Kobra should leave the rapping to Gangxta Ridd, especially Gawtti. Ridd is no KRS-One himself, but he has skills and his flow is  :o .

Above The Law need to release something soon. I've been bumping Legends a lot lately, they need another LP.

"Gangsta Nations" is coo, but I'm not a huge fan of Westside Connection hooking up with Nate Dogg. They're LP was so strong because it was straight Hip Hop. But, you can't knock them for doing it, I guess.

Mack 10 has been spitting hot lately. He's coming back into his old form, which may lead to a great next LP.

The Psycho Realm were a better duo than Daz & Kurupt and Tha Eastsidaz. Jacken's beats are right behind Daz' and are way ahead of Goldies. Jacken's lyricism is just a little better than Kurupts. Big Duke's imagery and passion in his rhymes is what makes him better than Daz and Tray Deee. Not to mention, their big homie, B-Real, is much more talented than DPG/Eastsidaz' big homie, Snoop.

The Regime is probably the best crew in years. They demolish all opposition. Yukmouth, TechN9ne, LQ, Dru Down, C-Bo, Dorasel, Gonzoe etc. It's an untouchable crew.

Knumskull's album will be better than any Yukmouth album.(If anyone can hook me up with a copy of Clee & Drank-A-Lot - Good Laaaaawd That's A Lot Of Drank get at me with the info.)

More thoughts to come later....

I think Gangsta Nations will be played out in just a few weeks. It sounds too simple to be a tight first single like The Streets or Bow Down was

They need to do something damn it. At least a Hutch beat man. I'm feening.

Lil Jay: You're right. It might fizzle out soon. Am I the only one getting a little tired of Nate Dogg? He's to hooks, like Busta Rhymes is to remixes. It gets annoying after a while.

The Regime is probably the best crew in years. They demolish all opposition. Yukmouth, TechN9ne, LQ, Dru Down, C-Bo, Dorasel, Gonzoe etc. It's an untouchable crew.
