Season Of Da Siccness is a better debut LP than Chronic and Doggystyle. The production is about even. Lyrically, Season is way ahead of Chronic and Doggystyle. Lynch's flow is better than Snoops. And, the replay value of Season is greater than Chronic or Doggystyle. I haven't bumped The Chronic in months. I never even re-bought Doggystyle on CD, I haven't bumped that tape in at least 2 years. Season is still in constant rotation.

Don't run from the truth. Just because the majority says The Chronic and Doggystyle are the best, don't mean it's the truth. Hop off the bandwagon for once.

the reason people give the chronic and doggystyle props is because at the time nothing like them had been done.. they were a landmark.

altho i consider season of da siccness a timeless classic, i still believe Doggystyle and The Chronic are better.

im not talkin bout flowwise, lyrics or beats, im just sayin i enjoyed both of those more and thats all that counts for me.

I think you are trippin....Season of tha Siccness production aint very good, and that is a mild statement...furthermore i dont consider Doggystyle too be a classic.

Agreed with that one, although I haven't heard Season Of Da Siccness. I'm trying to get some of Lynch's shit, he's a dope rapper.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Nimas been trying to get me hip to Season Of Da Siccness and the tracks he showed me were tight but I still havent really listened to that album track for track.  All Ive heard where good things but to compare it to The Chronic is a pretty big statement.

Dont know about anyone else, but "The Replay Value" is VERY high for both The Chronic and Doggystyle.  (Not to take anything away from Lynch.) I could never get tired of either of em.  I'll seriously give Lynch a spin and try to feel what SGV's talkin about.

The problem with Season is that almost every other trac is a skit.

The production on Season ain't good? LMAO. Aight.

This is MY opinion, you don't agree, fine. Season gets more rotation, and never gets old. The Chronic has already got old. Doggystyle is also played out.

all top 5 albums for me

the production on Chronic and Doggystyle was still betta not taking anyhting away from Lynch's classic though which had very dope production too

to me The Chronic will always be no1 though.. nothin to do with truth.. I just bump it more than anything else

Well I'll be honest, I haven't heard this album from Lynch before...and I have a feeling that if I do hear it, that I will not think it is anywhere near as good as Doggystyle or Chronic, mainly because if it's old, it prolly won't sound as good now as it did then. But if y'all give me some tracks to listen to I'll take a peep. I can't say it's not as good since I haven't heard it, so I want to hear it, but I jus don't think I'll put it on the same level. Who knows tho?

if ur talkin bout season of da sickness from brotha lynch then i think u are right in someways cuz not everyone can listen to lynch cuz they dont like the lyrics. he is a dope lyracist but his lyrics are not for everyone. chronic and doggystyle are more calm lyrics thean lynch cuz he talks bout eatin bloody clits and killin babies.
