I asked for an update on the family album a few days ago from a contact there.

up to now they've been hunting + holding out for a good distribution deal.

they do want to get it out real soon i know that. the dvd is to be packaged with the family album. (yes that means cd+dvd)

was mac dre on their mixtape cuzz i cant find that 1 track.

do u know if the dvd will have footage of leicy locc? before she left 4life recs.she should have stayed and maintained but i dont think she bangs

the tracklist isnt final so theres no knowing. while they've got time I expect they'll polish what they can.

I expect bad azz, the chill, mac dre, ju-l and maybe tha eastsidaz.. (their current situation may be causing problems)

mac dre isnt on the mixtape, and neb luv isnt too.. (didnt make it back to redo her verse) i ~think~ a neb luv/crisstyle mixtape track made it on another mixtape (not a iv life one) but i'm not sure.

i doubt there'd be footage of leicy loc, she's been gone a long long time. it should be all new stuff... from 'the new breed' over there

ok here's the low down for releases so far.

IV Life Family : Volume 1
The original IV Life album with former fam members Lil Heff (who was my fave) and Leicy Loc, also feats Dresta.
This was rushed out because it got leaked, its not a 'proper release' more of a bootleg to combat the  bootlegging that already happened, so they could get their peice of what was left of the action.

I've have heard there are several versions out there.

like that another version has tracks like Tales From The Block and some that are still unreleased like... Still Blue aka Still Cool,  Smoke An Ounce Wit Me, These Bitches, Don't Cry Now and a few more.. if you have Eastsidaz-Untitled-ADVANCE-2002-WHOA you really have a LOT of unreleased IV Life Material. (about 9 tracks i think)

RED Tribute Album
1000 were pressed up and spread locally after he passed.
RED was CEO Big Del's Dogs cousin.

(I've heard we may get this at some point)


IV Life Family - Volume 1.4 mixtape
originally individual tracks were put on the iv life site, but they put all these together to make a mixtape once the number of them started to build (and to give the fans something while vol2 was being sorted out..)

includes a properly mixed verson of the prev leaked Tales from The Block and a Vol2 leftover called Give It Up

IV Life Family - Bases Loaded mixtapte

includes a properly mixed verson of Everything Is Everything from Vol1 and a Vol2 leftover called Tha Spitta

I got a shit load to say about them, but first things first, young buc is one of the tightest rapers out there. I got all of his songs. The tightest one is game over. All of them songs are hella sick and got the other iv artists. I aslo love the Vol 1 Album. Shit is tight. Everything they puts down is tight. I give madd props to um. Bucc should lay down a track with Bone Thugs or e40, that shit would be tight.
this new album should be tight so ima get that.

Albums coming soon "Volume 2: Tha New Breed", plus solo projects, plus a 'group' album by buc+j-dog.. you can submit suggestions for their group name on the iv life forum... they cant find one that sticks!

the fan that chooses the name they run with gets a ivlife goodies pack.

theres is no known order yet, apart from that Vol2 will be the first.


RED can be heard of Tales From The Block on the first mixtape, and on the track '"Ready Every Day" on iv life vol 1.


they have or will be connecting with e-40, i think it'll be on another project though

I just got word back.. iv life are still close to closing a good distro deal.. they're trying to push into several overseas markets at the same time.. and i believe they also want to ensure they get the product available through the big online retailers like amazon so people in the regions they dont hit with in store distro can order online. once theres a 100% specific confirmation i'll put a story up on dubcnn.
