As weird as this probably sounds, my next game purchase is between this and Simpsons: Hit and Run. I can't decide yet whether I wanna go for the serious city cruising game or the amusing one. I'm actually swaying towards the Simpsons game, but the fact that True Crime has such a dope soundtrack might sway me in the end I think.

Any suggestions?

some people were saying some shit about true crime not working onolder systems cause the disc drive has changed 3 times, but that's not the case for me cause i got the xbox when it first came out and it works fine.

and as for my thoughts on the game.

Graphics: 8.5 good graphics, some clipping and camera problems, alot of reaccuring people and cars like on GTA, also the streets aren't that heavy with traffic.

Sound: 9.0 good voice acting, great soundtrack, good sound effects

Difficulty: 6.0 easy to pick up and learn the controller, only had a rough time with the last guy at the end

Length: 4.0 i've taken shits longer than this game

Replayability: 7.5 not as replayable as GTA but still a fun game to pick up and just mess around a bit

in all, it's like an interactive movie, the story plays along nicely and everything makes sense. the street crimes and the main story is fun but it's not as varied as in GTA. the mix of fighting, sneaking, driving and shooting is done very well but none of them are too in depth. overall, if you have the money and just like games...buy it....but if you're short and you usually rent...then it'll be a good 3-4 day rental

It's more polished and entertaining than GTA IMO. Maybe that's cuz I'm just sick of plsying GTA. I'm on the episode VII btw.

I never played GTA....(runs for cover) but I'm not really into action games that much, because at my college people play sports games religiously. But since I'm from L.A. and a huge fan of West Coast music, I had to pick this one up. It made me forget how dope action/adventure/adult games could be, since I stopped playin shit like FF7, Tomb Raider 2, and Resident Evil 2 back in 98. I can't compare it to GTA, but since I am drivin around in my hometown, it makes this game fun as hell. Other than it just bein in L.A., it is a pretty fun game but it does seem a bit too easy, and doesn't have much depth. Also, it doesn't have branching storylines in it. The balance is weird because one level might take u 8 times to beat it, then the next level takes you twenty seconds. But all in all that's the only game I've been playin since Friday...I spent 4 hours jus drivin around for no reason the other nite.

GTA 3 I think is one of the funnest games i've played.. I completed it like 94% i only need like 4 more hidden packages and somethin else i think. But its still pretty fun when Im bored..

True crimes I still havn't played, I'll prolly rent it this weekend though..

Freedom Fighters I played at my friends, and that is defenetly a sweet game.

another game I would like to play is that one uh, call of duty or something, where you duck behind cars and shit and you play alone ducking constantly.

The Simpsons Hit & Run is a good game, my girl plays that ALOT. I tend to think True Crime/GTA-VC is better, although the simpsons game has alot of good one liners in it and looks like it'll take more than 7 hours to complete. Rent True Crimes first & make sure you like it

tackle them and wait til they stand still

then either flash your badge at them or fire a warning shot and they'll either give up or run. if they run you beat the shit out of them

if i know that they can take a shot, i shoot them a couple times to get thier life down (or they surrender while getting shot) then i finish them will some kung fu and slap the cuffs on them....

if they surrender - cuff them

if the pull out guns - clap them

if they run - fuck them up
