Hiphopsite: Dr.Dre, Melman (and Nas) to appear on "Black Album"

Closing out this week's news.... A few last minute changes are in store for Jay-Z's The Black Album.  There will be 14-cuts with two bonus tracks as well.  One of those bonus tracks will be produced by Dr. Dre and will more then likely be the LP's second-single.  Also, the second bonus track maybe a Mel-Man produced track with MC Lyte on the hook that is supposed be straight bonkers.  Similarly, Jay-Z is not the only person to bump his release date up too 11-14, as 50 Cent has done the same with G Unit's Beg For Mercy, so it looks like those K.O.N.Y discussions will be settled by Soundscan... Lastly, if that wasn't enough, we are hearing that rumors of a Jay-Z/Nas collaboration are not that far-fetched?  Could it appear on The Black Album??  Hold your breath!!  (Pizzo & Matty are skeptical.)

Hope the Dre track is tight.  I've listened to The Black Album (rip) a few times and it does absolutely nothing for me.  Not even the Quik beat.  Hate the hook.

Axle:  You serious dogg?  I dont even really like JAy anymore and havent bought an album since In My Lifetime Vol 1, and i CAN NOT BELIEVE how dope the album is.   Surprisingly, the Quik song is one of the weaker ones along with the single, but others are incredible:  99 Problems, Encore, PSA, Threat to name my favourites.  Listen again, cuz it takes a while to grow on you, or at least it did for me!

And if NAs is really on there, it will be a great day for hiphop.  I hate all the Nas-Jay comparisons and they (comparisons) will be ridiculous if this track really happens, but i think they will sound dope together.

And i hope Dre blesses Jigga with a second single, cuz that is the only thing this cd is missing:  a song wich will blow up.  peace

Yea, I'm sure I'll get more spins out of the album.  Blueprint Vol.1 was the last Jay album that I felt was pretty solid.  G-Lookin on suggesting some tracks.  Imma queue those up and give them a spin.  Thanks TeeCee.
