There is no afterlife and other philosophies

My belief is currently that there is no afterlife.

Now for a few moments just consider this to be true.

The way I look at life is this... we live and die; hence you have one shot to really get the most out of life... to do something extrordinary, or whatever pleases you.

when you look at the world today their are a number of great men and women that are experiencing a life beyond what the normal person lives.  if you only have one chance why not try for the best... a belief in the afterlife can take away form this since u assume if u live a good life ull be rewarded later on so u dont strive u grw up and do ur thing being a good person... i think being a good person is one part of sucess but there is more

also consider that if i am right... then pursuing trivial matters is foolish... consider the level of intelligence a true leader possesses, then i look at people here who are tryin to start semi revolutions about such and such.  They focus all their time and energy but guess what the world has been puttin along for a long time now, chances are they wont change the status quo.  not that i believe why bother, but i think focus your energy on what is in your current ability until you build to a level where you can do more, when the time is right if u can influence the world do so if that is something you would enjoy

recently i read sidhartha by herman hesse quite an interesting book and quite short too so go read it if u get a chance... the book to me pointed out the trivial traps people get caught in...  (althogh it has many other lessons as well)

in the beginning of sidharthas life he was exceptionally bright but raised by parents of high social status that dedicated their life to their religion which was ultimately false.  sidhartha then set out and dedicated a number of his years to meditation and so on which he eventually gained very little from, he then left that life and worshipped instead money and sex and wasted further years of his life.  he finally finished his life in quite a depressing manner.  


keeping in mind what i've said above,  my final philosophy ill share with people today is that i believe their is very little value in the past besides being able to learn from it.  worshipping sex, or money might make u temporarily happy but the future matters more becuz if you dont build towards a happy and enjoyable future then all the past accomplishments dont matter. when one is in a state of depression past happiness just does not help much. with that in mind i think its in our best interst to be  conscious of what we are currently doing in our life and whether or not it is helping to improve our future or harm us.

in conclusion believe what you choose, but consider all possibilities and dont get wrapped up in worshipping any one thing be it religion, money, sex, etc.  each religion has something it can teach you, each philosophy has something it can teach you, each culture does as well... you can learn from any of them, it is not required that you subscribe to only one religion, and only one culture.

dont get so wrapped up in strict adherence to your own set of values that you piss away your existence being stubborn.

and those are my thoughts.

Congratulations on creating your own religion!  Now let's place your abbreviated knowledge next to that of the Qu'ran and compare.  Then let the people decide.  You could reason through your whole life and you'd still lack the conviction to follow up on your conclusions.  You are like tumblweed blowing in the wind.

You are a victim of your own obstinancy, arrogance, bias, and perversibly a kafir.  Your gratification in life would never be realized through submission to Allah.  But rather your life is a self-serving one.  You are lead, strangled by your own fears and selfishishly vain desires.

On the contrary.  I respect his beliefs and at the same time I was presenting my own.  He was showing me the way he thinks and likewise I explained the way I fuction mentally and spiritually.  Now, you can add or subtract to the conversation.  It appears you have chosen to subtract and waste my time.

than why did u try to put down his views by comparing it to tha quran
