I'm gonna start off by saying this. Cypress Hill holds THE best concerts around. Nobody in the industry could pull off such an amazing show year after year.As I entered the Orange Show in San Bernardino, CA, I was greeted to the sounds of Ice-T and his rock group Body Count. It was close to the end of their set, so they closed with the contraversial "Cop Killer", which caused a mosh pit and all. For the couple songs that I seen them, I must say their show was tight. Ice-T hasn't slipped yet. He's still going strong. From the mainstage, I went over to the second stage. Caught SX-10. That's Sen Dog of Cypress Hill's rock group. Sen is the lead singer of the group. With this group, he shows that he is a better hard rock singer than B-Real. I'm not familiar with their music, so I'm not sure what songs they did. But, I liked them. The band had the crowd rowdy, but still vibing. After them, we went back to the mainstage. Xzibit came out, as he was the 4:20 Special Guest. He brought out the Strong Arm Steady Gang's Krondon, Mitchy Slick and Phil Da Agony. X did only his material from Restless and Man Vs. Machine which is always a dissapointment. He rarely ever performs his older, and in my opinion better, music. But, his show and stage presence is still very good. We bounced back to the second stage and caught Booyaa T.R.I.B.E. just starting their set. They did "Once Upon A Driveby," "Heated," "911," "Carson City," "N Full Motion," "Beautiful Thing," "Bang On" and closed with "Another Body Murdered." As usual, Booyaa put on a real dope show.Next up, the legendary crew, the Hieroglyphics!!!! Souls Of Mischief started the set off, then Casual and Pep Love joined them. Last but not least, Del came up. With Domino on the wheels of steel, the entire crew was on stage. They had a great show and ran through a majority of their hits such as "Last One", as well as stuff off their new album, Full Circle. Ended the show off with Souls Of Mischief's smash "93 Til Infinity". As, they were leaving the stage, Del hopped on the mic and dropped a real dope acapella freestyle, which got a good response from the crowd. After their set, I went walking around. I caught a little bit of Punk Rock Legends Pennywise. They did a cover of Dre 3000's current hit "Hey Ya". I thought it was tight. But, I didn't stick around to see anymore. Went back to the mainstage, just in time for M.O.P.. What a great set. They got so much energy it's not even funny. Came out to "Cold As Ice" and just rocked it from there. After they did a few new songs the female emcee of their crew, Fox hopped into the crowd. She cleared a whole circle. Billy Danze asked her to come back to the stage, but she insisted in kicking it with the fans, in the crowd. She even incited a mosh pit when "Ante Up" was being performed. That made their show that much better.Cypress Hill came on next, at the mainstage. But, I didn't stay to watch them. I thought they were gonna do nothing but Rock, but I was wrong. My good friend said their entire set was all Hip Hop. They even did songs off their new album. So, I was little upset that I missed it, but what can you do. I was at the second stage watching Aceyalone and the Project Blowed. I liked their set. But, since Cypress was on the turn out was small. They still held it down. Riddlore was busting a lot of acapella freestyles, which ARE real freestyles, all off the dome. 2-Mex and Busdriver came out and did some freestyles, also. Towards the end of the set, some people threw CDs at the stage. One hit Riddlore. So, he looked into the crowd, spotted the idiots that through the CDs, and chased them down. Two more people jumped off stage, one being Phoenix Orion to grab Riddlore. From my view point Riddlore was in their faces but was brought and called back by his homies. First time I've ever seen that happen between an emcee and fans. I thought it was hilarious. Acey performed some tracks off his new album and off of the Good Brothers album. They closed the show by bringing out 20 year old No Can Do. This kid has a lot of potential to be something major. Tight show, even with the minimal crowd and little problem with Riddlore and the fans.Rock/Rap group Linkin Park were on the mainstage just as I got there. They did a lot of songs off of their new album, then the rain started coming down. Emcee Mike Shinoda did his song "It's Goin' Down". They performed "Points Of Authority," "Runaway," "Crawling" and more, off their first album. I believe it was doing "Points Of Authority", Mike Shinoda brought out Xzibit. He did his last verse of "My Name.". Then, out of nowhere, Break dancing legend from the Rock Steady Crew, Crazy Legs came out. He was breaking while the DeeJay Mr. Hahn was scratching. Very tight addition to the show. As a closer, they did their hit "One Step Closer". But, as a special treat, the lead singer Chester brought out B-Real and Ice-T to assist him with the vocals. Although it was raining, their set was very tight.B-Real stuck around and announced that DMX was next. Coolio came out and introduced DMX's first artist off his label Bloodline Records, the ever-so innovative Bazaar Royale. He had a very annoying hype man, he was an irritating version of Flava Flav. Aside from that, Bazaar had some tight songs. He didn't go over well with the crowd because, first, it was raining, two, they wanted to see DMX. Personally, I liked his set. His songs are filled with heavy guitar riffs and hard rock vocals. His voice as strong live as it is on record, so that was good. After about 4 songs, DMX came out. He went right into his hits. "We Right Here," "Who We Be," "X Gon' Give It To Ya," "What These Bitches Want," "Where The Hood At," "Ruff Ryder Anthem," and more. A very powerful part of his show was when DMX did his tribute song to his dead homie "Ayo Kato". He was almost at the end of the song and he bursted into tears. Hype man Swizz Beats helped him finish the song. He kept the mood emotional as he went into "Slippin'". Once they got the crowd rowdy again, D closed with a prayer.Overall, a very tight show. Disappointed that I missed Cypress, but oh well. At least we know their next album will be straight Hip Hop. Much props to all the artists who performed and much love to B-Real, Muggs, Sen Dog and Eric Bobo for putting on a great show 6 years and running.
