He's my favorite rapper ever, shit, he's my favorite artist ever. Guess I gotta find a new fav. now. :'( :'(

Why the hell should you do that? Just because somebody retires, dies or is somehow otherwise stopped from making music (or in this case, not quit entirely, just quit rapping) it's no reason to think he's not your favourite no more. Pac and Biggie are still a lot of people's favourite artists, and they sure as hell ain't making music anymore.

On the clip - tight verse! He obviously ain't quittin' rappin' 'cause he fell off or something like that. Hope the guy changes his mind at some point though...

he doesn't feel like rapping now.
he might change his mind in the future
i hope he does

peace

I remember a while back (1996) when he released Safe And Sound, he was going through some depression type shit and he used to be on Theo's show back when The Beat was on 92.3 talking about how he hated that album and how Safe And Sound would be his last.  He ended up releasing 4 (incl'd greatest hits) additional album.  Quiks an emotional cat and gets frustrated with the public very easily.  I think he was throwed when  Under Tha Influence didn't sell well.  He could've been mad at Bungalo and was just mouthing off.  Bottom line, I dont think Quik is retiring.  He's just gotta get himself with a label that takes his music and presents it to the public, the right way.  He's way to talented to retire, regardless of how many units he's sold.  His type of genius wont let him retire if you ask me.

I see what you're saying. Honestly, I don't think anybody could replace Quik. Fuck what I said!
