Discipline is the way to go. And if you can't hit or yell at your kids then what the hell are you suppose to do?Oh that's right, time out. Shoot man, when I got time out, I would go in my room and go play Donkey Kong Country or watch Power Rangers. Time out don't do crap unless your under the age of 4. I am happy my parents spanked me because they made me a better person for it. Spanking gives you a reason to think about what you do before you do it because you know you will face consequences. It's just giving your child a sense of the real world. And when I have kids, I will definitely spank them when they are way out of line. Not punch them or kick them, but a slap on the hand or the butt to show them they did something wrong and they shouldn't do it again. It's out of love, not anger or to be abusive.
Yeah.... I agree with all of you. Spank your kids. The best form of discipline, however, is to be a good example for your kids. To do what you say. Don't be a polotician. Don't address them with doubletalk and doublestandards. If I drink alcohol then my kid can drink. If I smoke ciggeretes then my kid can smoke ciggeretes. It confuses kids when their parents tell them to be a certain way or they won't see success. Then they grow up and see successful people doing all the wrong things. You have to tell them the truth about life and be a good example of truth.
