teecee's top 6 of the week....post yours!!!!!!
« on: November 28, 2003, 08:07:39 PM »
Damn, besides Jay z i dont have a lot of new stuff and i have been way too busy this week to bump any music.  So,  i need ya'll to drop your lists to let me know what is hot...........peace

Heres my list, all old shit though

1. Behind Bars- SLick rick ft. Warren G (this was made when warren was at his best as far as production, and it shows.  Great song)

2.  I know i Got Skillz- Shaq ft. Def Jef (G FUNK!  Damn, that whistle is SICK, and guess who did the whistle?  MEECH WELLS, back b4 he rolled with SNOOP)

3. One Day at a time- PAc, Em, Outlaws (well, dont like as much as the original, but i am learning to like this one, actually hooked on it right now.  Em sounds nice on the song, so does the first outlaw)

4.  Murder, Murder- EM (the version off the Friday sdtrk, this is one of my fav. songs by EM....Quik used this beat for his 50 wayz cut too)

5. Hip HOp Hooray (PETE ROCK REMIX)- NBN (somehow never heard this back in te day, puts a nice spin on the original classic song)

6. Sittin In my car- Slick RIck (another incredibkle song off the VERY UNDERATED Behind Bars album, wich is my second fav. Slick rick album btw)

peace ya'll, and drop those lists!!1

No order:
1.Kam - Have A Fit
2.Chino XL & Ras Kass - Riiot!
3.Jay-Z - Justify My Thug
4.Ice Cube - Cave Bitch
5.E-A-Ski - Gangsta Funk
6.E-A-Ski - Manuscript

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

That was a fucking dope mix... shit, I can't remember where I've got it... pretty sure it wasn't on the 12"...

I've only been bumping three albums this week, so a couple of tracks from each that I had to keep skipping to:

A-1, Mash Confusion
'Gangsta's Anthem' (with Killa Tay) / 'Struggle N The Projects' (with Harm)

Snoop Dogg, Tha Last Meal
'Back Up Off Me' (with Master P and Magic) :P / 'Y'all Gone Miss Me' (with Kokane)

Ganxsta Rid, Occupation Hazardous
'Born May 1st' / 'RID Is Coming'

Well - only on the Internet but what's the difference?"

 - Mad Child from Swollen Members, 'Adrenaline'
